I do have there number 775-319-1506.
I just spoke with a manager from this company tonight and he threatened to ruin my credit if he didn't have a letter from sprint showing I paid by first thing tomorrow morning. I thougt they were just someone acting like they worked with a company to recieve credit card info. Vince the manager kept warning me that our conversation was being recorded. I couldn't even believe he was talking to me like that and all of this for 130.00 dollars and it was a mistake on sprints part. They were so unprofessional that I just knew it was fraud.

I called these people and some woman from a vacation sales dept answered. I asked why the hell they are calling me saying I have a debt with them.
I was transfered to allied(spell correct?) and they said that they did not call me and I was NOT in their system!
I told her that they were on my caller id and she told me I was wrong and they never called me.
What ever!

They were reluctant to give me any information, and kept trying to get me to pay by credit card or Western Union.. I finally managed to get this address from them:

allied interstate
3000 Corporate Exchange Drive 5th Floor
Columbus, Ohio 43231

If I had to guess, I'd say the reason they're trying to avoid communication by mail is because they want to avoid Cease and Desist letters being sent, which means they won't make any money.. they kept offering me a discount if I would pay immediately..

Hi all,
Just came upon your site today.
allied interstate called my brother yesterday, is this legal?

Also, I don't remember the account I owe for but it has been at least 6 years since I had the account, more likely 7 or 8, but is the SOL when an account is written off by the credit card company, or is it when the account was purchased by the ca? I have to believe the sol is up, but since they called my brother, they must know this too. they claimed my brothers number was a reference.

Thanks.

The SOL starts from the date of last payment and can be renewed upon another payment, acknowledgment of the debt or a promise to pay. Also the SOL varies from state to state, if you are unsure of yours you can check my signature link for a guide by state.

Also if it is your debt and they disclosed the fact that you owe a debt to your brother and he does not appear on the account as a authorized user (cosigner, etc.) it would be a third party disclosure and therefore a violation of the fdcpa.

A heavy accented man keeps calling me at work on an account that I do have but am current with, never been late. He tells me this MUST BE PAID TODAY. I think he is a fraud and a scam.

I have gotten a couple of recorded calls from AI in the last 2 weeks. It is a recorded message that states who they are & that any information will be used to collect a debt. It just keeps looping & saying the same thing over & over, no real person ever comes on the line? We don't have any debt so don't know why they are calling our number. The message never gives any contact info. Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks.

I repeated get calls concerning the debt of a person I do not know. I have repeatedly told them they have the person is not at my number and remove my number from their call list. In blatant violation of FDCPA, they do not identify the company (CallerID and verbally), they hang-up immediately to avoid request to do not call, and will call back and hang-up immediately if you do request they do not call. I now file each phone call on the FTC Do-Not-Call. With others (WFNNB), I also filed complaints with my state Attorney General, OH Comptoller, and the BBB of Central Ohio.

Now that I have locations for AI, I can file complaints with the respective state AGs and BBB.

i had paid allied 156$ by check as a settlement for a sprint bill. this was the first time ever in collection so when i didn't receive any confirmation letter i didn't think much of it. i figured seeing that it was taken from my acct. was enough, long story short 2 years later my credit was hit for the full amount owed to sprint , now being 2 years later it is a nightmare trying to get anyone to help and the bank will take 3-5 days before the front and back of the check can be faxed .so i call allied , the answer i received we never had you in our system.

I owe nobody any bad debt, not a cent, yet got calls from this same group multiple times a day. I just spent the past hour on the phone (7 times - got hung up on twice), and nobody there would even confirm if this is a collection agency. I spoke with supervisor 'armando hinojosa' and he said it was illegal to say if his company in any way acted as a collections agency? As with so many other responses, all they would say is 'we never called you', but I and my caller ID are not imagining these calls...

They called me from (253) 218-3449
Allied Interstate.
I called the following number 775 319-1506 to get removed from their lists.
Get this - they are calling not for anyone that lives with us, this is a former friend (never lived with us), it's been over 20 years since my wife was in his life. The guy has been in jail and must owe some money.
Hopefully they do remove me as promised. (24-48 hours)

If they continue calling, send them a cease-and-desist letter, certified mail, return receipt requested. There are letter templates on our site.

Allied Interstate is a collection agency which has made its presence felt through all sorts of wrong reasons. It has become a regular phenomenon for Allied Interstate to violate Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the set of laws governing the guidelines for collection agencies.
Some of the common malpractices and harassing techniques used by Allied Interstate are:
Calling family members, relatives and friends of the debtor and threatening them over phone.
Making calls to the debtor on a regular basis without prior permission.
Wanting to settle debt issues without documenting it.
Using abusive languages while interacting with the debtor.
Allied Interstate have made it a practice to contact wrong person and who actually don't owe any money to anyone.
They review credit reports without any prior permission from anyone.
Allied Interstate make threatening calls to a debtor throughout the entire day up to 9 pm.
They also have the tenacity to harass a debtor throughout the whole year.
Allied Interstate will call you without leaving behind any contact numbers or email address. The only thing they leave behind is their mailing address which again is doubtful in many cases.
Follow-up with C&D (cease & desist) letter is absent.
Most of the above mentioned malpractices are violating FDCPA rules and hence you can sue them if you are facing any such problems from Allied Interstate Collection Agency.
In many cases it has been observed that they have called or contacted such person who doesn't owe them anything.
