Beware of Jury Duty Scam. In one sunny morning you can receive a call and come to know that you have failed to report for a jury duty and you will be arrested very soon. Then the caller will ask for your social security number, date of birth for verification. Needless to mention that these are the things identity thieves look for.

The victims get scared and disclose all the secrets to the scammer.

Please understand that court confirms your presence by issuing summon, which must reach to you well in advance. You get enough option to postpone the date of jury service.

So, if you get such a call today, don't get nervous. Consult your local authority.

ALthough I have never been called to jury duty and never can be for the time being, that is information that is good to know. Sometimes we are caught off guard that we dont realize the type of information that we reveal.
