Why hasn't anyone in the forum initiated legal action against these Payday Loan companies?

Hi michaeljm39

Didn't you check the 'PUB' section in this forum where some payday loan companies and collection agencies where threatening to sue this website. I am sure you will be interested to catch that discussion.

While CTL was coming up with all sorts of false allegations, some of the community members came up with legitimate records and details of their illegal business. The company even threatened to file a lawsuit against this website in the beginning. But eventually, after knowing the power of togetherness, all of them backed off.

Some articles and press releases also came up in the local newspapers elaborating on this story. Put a search on google with the keyword “Victims of 1000% Interest Rate” and you will know about this community.

Hey John....
Same story,Payday Loan problem. However,I paid them off. I am now in the process of bringing one to Arbitration to recoup all "Interest" and "Fees"
I am located in Massachusetts. They are located in New Mexico and De. None are licenced in my state! Originally I was going to go through Small Claims court.

Micheal,

You must consult an attorney that specializes in the lawsuits of fdcpa and FCRA violations. Since the said company is not licensed in your state, you have a case against them with the interests and fees charged on it.

I have Two PDL's that I am taking action against. One at a time though!
The first one I'm going by way of Arbitration. If that goes well I will do the same with the second. If not,I will bring them to court. I have already contacted my states attorney general regarding them.

I think you mean filing suit against a pdl company? I have seen suggestions about it, even suggested a class action suit myself. I think a strong action like that would definitely put pdl companies in the right light for legislators.
