Unfortunately I had to deal with these animals today. The person I was dealing with was so rude and unbelievably unprofessional. I hope to never speak with these a##holes ever again.

Thank you for the advise, I will have their # blocked.

Leading Edge Recovery Solutions is a licensed collection agency located in Chicago, Illinois. If you are the recipient of unwanted phone calls or collection activity, please send an e-mail with your questions or concerns to help@leadingedgerecovery.com. In most cases, unwanted phone calls can be stopped within 24 hours.

Requests to cease calls are most effectively processed when the subject line of the e-mail contains a simple note (e.g. “Stop Calling” or “Unwanted Calls”) along with the phone number at which the calls have been received.

I believe that if they call you with an unsubstantiated "Cold Call" that they do not have a prior business relationship with you, they are liable to a fine of $500 per call as per the FCC.

They called me on a credit card I have never had and the debit is over ten years old. My credit was cleared up eleven years ago. This CC has never been on my credit report.

I'm active duty army stationed overseas with NO....yes NO debt of any kind. These people continuously harass my parents, (with whom I have not lived for 16 years) asking for me. They just do not stop. Where do they get their information? Is there some database they have access to?

They are likely using LexisNexis for skip tracing. LN pulls from many different sources; court records, property records, marraige, etc

Sub: #93 LEADING EDGE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS, LLC IS A SCAM!
Replied on 03-03-2009, 09:59 AM

LEADING EDGE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS, LLC IS A SCAM OPERATION! I received a notice, claiming they were attempting to collect a debt I owed in relation to US Bank, the original creditor. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DEALING WHATSOEVER WITH US BANK IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

As soon as I called, they gave me a number for another collection agency IDT Carmel, which was also listed in the notice I received. Of course, they conveniently couldn't find my info from the account number listed, but said they could look it up by my social security number--OF COURSE!

If you get a notice from these crooks, do not just pay it. They are obviously counting on people never questioning the validity of these debts. As a result, they no doubt collect a good deal of money this way, either through people automatically paying, or through identity theft they engage in when people call and provide personal information.

If you get a notice from any of these companies, don't pay it and don't give them private information. Write them back and dispute it... and make a copy of the collection letter to send with a letter to alert your STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE!

I used to get calls from "Craig Jepson". I am now getting calls from "Daryl Rose". After receiving a total of roughly 6-8 calls from these people (the last TWO within 4 days), I decided to break down and return the call. They were looking for someone who doesn't even live here. I'm not buying it
though. I've had this number for almost 17 years. I was pretty livid with the person on the phone telling them everyone knows their operation is a scam and that I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau in Illinois. I also have an excellent credit rating so I know I don't owe anyone any money. This scam company is:

Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC
5440 N. Cumberland Ave., Suite 300
Chicago, IL 60656-1490
Main Line: 800-663-4707

Here are ways you can report this company:

Federal Trade Commision - The Federal Trade Commission does not investigate each individual complaint, but if they notice many complaints coming in on one company they will investigate them.

If you feel like they ave harassed you in several contacts with you report each contact as a separate complaint.

It is not up to you do decide if they broke the law in their contact. That is the job of the Federal Trade Commission to investigate claims.

Illinois Attorney General - The Illinois Attorney General is already suing them for violating collection Agency Laws. You do not have to be a resident of Illinois to report them.

Your State's Attorney General should also be notified if they have harassed you.

Better Business Bureau - File complaints with both the Chicago Better Business Bureau, because that is where they are located and with your local BBB.

You can search for "Leading Edge Recovery Solutions" to view the report AND file a complaint. The report states, "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to a pattern of complaints and has failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints."

The Federal Communication Commission - If they have called your cellphone with an automated dialer they fall under the same rules as telemarketers.

You can report them for violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act

No company should be allowed to continually robo-dial people like this.

P.S. I'm also very leery of the message I've seen posted that you can email help@leadingedgerecovery.com. I fear that is a scam too. If they do not stop calling me, I will email them, but I will do so from a brand new, totally anonymous email account.

P.P.S. If you've seen my post before, you better believe, I'm posting this information on any and every site I can find with complaints about this bottom feeding company. I'm apalled they are still in business.

Isn't it interesting that there are posts on numerous complaint forums that a simple email to the company will end the calls? This tells me that they KNOW they are just casting a large net and trying to dupe anyone they can. There have been so many complaints about them and so much bad press posted on complaint forums that they are trying to do damage control now (no doubt in an effort to stay in business). They are definitely NOT in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and this must be a concession they've had to make. "We'll notify people to email us and we'll remove them from the call list." Oh please.... Why would I trust that??
