A few months ago I started with a debt consolidation Company which has been working ok, except for the fact that I even have to pay them each month $36 for their service.. Since I have been out of work on FMLA and have accumulated more debt which includes Dr. Bills, Hospital, Utilities and Payday Loans. Now I need short time help till I get back to fulltime pay in Jan 06. The only thing I can find is payday loans, most consolidation loans want you to own a house, but we rent. My husband just doesn't make enough to cover everything and we NEED help. Since we're already working on restoring our credit, does anyone know of a loan company that can help? I saw a few people mention Town & Country but I can't find any info on them. thanks :cry:

I understand your position, but it is not advisable to go in debts further because the consequences of one more loan could be fatal. You won't be able to get a consolidation loan without collateral. Yes, you can mange some payday loan, but the aftermath of these payday loans is very serious.

Since you are already in a consolidation program, it is better not to pile up debts. Otherwise your debt free days will be delayed. If you face any problem with your payments, contact your consolidator and ask for some better payment plan.

ok thank you.. I used to have great credit till a divorce and it's been downhill ever since.
One step forward and 2 steps back, it's a vicious cycle... you can't get anything without good credit but the banks and loan companies who preach this are not willing to help you get there.

Welcome to forums. You have said it rightly. Good credit is a must. If any financial institute agrees to lend you money despite of the fact that your credit is not up to the grade, then two possibilities are there-

• You might have to pay high rates of interest,
• The lender will ask for an upfront fee, which seems very fishy.

If this is the scenario, needless to say, it is not going to help you anyway.

I am currently on workmans' comp and have a hard time getting on top of my bills. I have managed to get them down to around $7000 but because of the interest, over limit fees, and late payment fees it is slowly climbing. I need a consolidate my debts to one payment a month but is it possible to find a company that will help me without another fee that I cant afford. a few years ago my wife had 2 major heart attcks and we almost lost her. we had no medical insurance as it was too expencive at my work. long story-short we lost about everything and had to file bankrupcy a year ago. we are slowly starting to recover but alot of our debt was student loans and federal tax's, as you know these can't be forgiven. i would really like to be able to consolidate all our bills into one payment of around 1,100.00 per month, one pay check and still have a total debt of 50,000.oo paid in the next 5 years in time to part-time retire, but nop-one can seem to help.
