Y dont u hate urself for robbing the bank and not payintg them the money you borrowed. Instead of getting mad at people that have to ask you to be an adult and pay your bill maybe you should step up and take responsibilitiy for you lack of money management.

They only have to send one out it isnt their fault u havent updated a correct address with them. And the attorney's pay money to their employees so they dont have to deal with deadbeats. So instead of complaining just pay your bills

They can sue you because the hold the card agreement that was agreed to upon using the card. And they can sue you for debt. Its called theft if you dont pay back the money. You should reald about people getting sued, everything from garnishments to asset leins and even goin into your bank account and taking money without your permission per a judges orders. Learn the laws before you think you know them deadbeats.

I just happened upon this blog because I am now dealing with this firm as well. Today was my first contact with the non attorney collector. I did not set anything up as of yet because I cannot commit. Who do you think you are telling someone who you do not know that they should feel bad for not paying their debt. You don't know anything about them or anyone on this site. Do you work for this firm? Seriously? God forbid anything go south for you financially and you find yourself in a similar position. Shame on YOU for being so judgmental.

I had a really rude lady trying to get me to preschedule payments which I refused t do..I pay them
a certain amount every month and call in the payment every month. She works with Mr Oakes. I can see while people file BKY so they won't to deal with people like herself..She
told me to go ahead and file for BKY she will just laugh in my face???WHAT???? He really
needs to get a new staff..I agree I do have a debt and am faithfully paying every month..I
had a loan for 15000.00 and have this down to 7,500.00 and she is still harrassing me...They
do not even care if they are rude to people even when they are trying to pay the debt off. She
said my debt is soooo small and they have bigger clients so file for BKY... maybe
I will...

I learned of a friend who recieved threats from this firm, claiming to be a law firm, which only spread hate and non-business due to such unprudent behavior to very much emotionally harrass her and her family, lacking all greater fair business, eventually they would stop. They called during job hours on a cell phone, though she only worked a part time job, and is very disabled, recieving state disability suppliments. They call after less than two months of less than 20 hours a week employment.
Someone heard that the S-L Law Firm is not a mom-and-pop business, but is instead worth $250 million dollars as sold to a mutual fund company. Oh, and the poor are at mercy to them. Who will be eternally vigilant?

That Law firm is awful! They suggested we borrow money from family to pay them. They then refused to make payment arrangements with us. Shortly after that they garnished my rental income wages and when the tenants moved out they garnished my bank account. When they realized that the only money in there was my sons disability payment and had to give it back, they filed to forclose on my house. They did all of this for $3000! We finally had to file bankruptcy to get them off our backs. This firm threw ethics down the drain long ago. They have no sympathy or compassion. They were going to take my house that I live in with my five kids two of whom are disabled over $3000 in unpaid medical bills...

Did you get a lawyer and try and fight this?

They recently called and offered me a settlement,I ask them to send it in writing around 4/8/2011.They call again around 4/20/2011 again I ask them to send it in writing.

Well finally I get the letter on sat 4/23/2011. In the letter it stated that I had promised to pay this amount and that the offer was good only until 4/30/2011 or that it would be sent to another office and that the full balance with interest and any legal fees would apply.

First off I never promised to pay anything only to get it in writing so I could document it if I chose to accept it.What a bunch of clowns,I turned the offer down and countered.Of course they said this offer was the lowest they would go and that the conversation we had previously was recorded.

I said good go back and show me were I said I promised to pay,the conversation went down from there and she hung up.

Always at the end of the month they try and push hard.LOL

I just recently started getting harrassed by this firm one week ago today. They stated that they are working for the creditor that I owe and trying to collect a debt. Just recently by reading this blog and others that they purchase debt and tack on their own fees...Is this correct? If so, then I do not owe them a dime. I agree that I owe my creditor but then I do not owe them anything. I believe once we all admit that we will pay them something that we are agreeing that we are going to pay them. This is where they get us. My last payment to my creditor was May, 2011. It has only been 2 months since my last payment. Im surprised they even got this debt. It has not even been 90 days past due. Anyway, thanks for the information everyone. I am suppose to recieve a phone call from this company (P.Scott) on Monday. I never recieved any in the mail from them at all but have been harrassed by them for the entire week. Since I did not get anything from them, I decided to look them up to see if they were legit. Im glad I did. Everyone in the firm was rude to me. I have not given them any information about me or my bank account information and I hope my creditors do not release that information to them. So, on Monday I will not answer my phone and just continue to pay my creditor with a money order the amount we agreed upon. I will also check with my attorney general here in the state where I live to see what I can do to get these people off my back right now. Ill keep you all posted on the outcome. I hope the information I can provide will help others just like this post helped me.

I've been dealing with this scum since March of 2011. The first contact was a phone call on March 7th with a letter on March 8th. I sent them a VD letter (Certified Mail) through USPS on March 15th and phone calls stopped as of March 18th. I have not received a phone call or a letter back from them for almost 3 months now. If you are dealing with P. Scott Lowery Law Office, please...please send out a VD letter (Certified Mail) through USPS ASAP. Keep copies of the VD letter, receipt from USPS and the Certified Mail paper tab that is sent back to you. At least they should be sending that back to you through USPS.

These are tips to deal with P. Scott Lowery Law Office:

- NEVER take phone calls from them! NEVER EVER!
- Communicate to them through USPS Certified Mail ONLY!

Let them bend over backwards and side ways until they give up OR actually send you REAL PROOF through USPS Mail.
