george, we are not LVNV, please use the contact info given in previous posts to contact them. If you sent them a DV l;etter, you may be waiting for some time--they sometimes never validate the debt

You can contact MCI and see if they sold this debt to someone--most likely LVNV purched this and are tyring to make some money --Send LVNV funding a DV letter if they did purchase this before you do anything..

I removed your personal info for your protection. More than likely they made an error with your grandmother.LVNV is a junk debt buyer who buys old debts and then collects on them. If your grandmother doesn't owe them or anyone else, send them a cease and destst letter-certified,return receipt..good luck..karen

Last January, we received a call from Phillips & Cohen CA regarding a WA MU Visa of my husband's. We set up a settlement plan and they were to take out three payments of $336 for the next three 3 mos. They took out the first payment, but not the second. When I called, I was told that I was supposed to have called in. I asked why then, did they take out the first payment via ACH through my banK? No response. Just told me settlement void now. Finally talked to manager. SHE said that WA Mutual screwed up a bunch of the 'settlements' and she'd have to talk to a woman named 'Kristen' at WA Mu and she would get back to me. No one ever did. I called for almost a year and no one would return my calls. No one answered our certfied letters, etiher. Then, this past June we got a call from MRS Asso. I sent a validation letter this time. No response. Last week, we got a call from Resergent. Advised them we would send validation letter. Three days late, we received a letter from stating it was a Validation of Debt, but all it says it that the account was acqired from WA MU and that weowe $2151. That is not a validationm, is it?

Ha Ha..Resurgent did that to me to. "Validation of Debt" was just something typed up on an otherwise blank sheet of paper saying the account was acquired from GE Capital and now owned by LVNV and that I owed $1,039. The dunning letter with it even said "enclosed please find an original validation of debt that verifies the debt."

What a joke, I laughed out loud when I got that one. I sent them a certified letter return receipt telling them that what they sent was "wholly inadequate as validation of any debt" and reiterating my debt validation request. This was in March, so far they haven't responded. Idiots....

LVNV Funding sued me through an attorney a year ago. I countersued and stated that they had never validated the debt. The debt has risen from $11,200 to over $17,000 on my CR. I have heard nothing since last July 2008. Should I send a validation letter to their company even though there has been a suit or should I just wait. I have tried numerous times to settle with them but they would not even take 40%. I just want this to end. Can anyone help me with this?

I have the same case as lizzygirl244. They sued me and I got a dismissal without a prejudice, but they are still reporting on my experian report. How do I get rid of them?

Send a dispute to the credit reporting agency with that info.
