LVNV Funding LLC is a collection agency. It has its presence in different states across USA; some of the valid addresses of the collector are as follows:

LVNV FUNDING LLC
P.O.Box 3038
Evansville, IN 47730
Telephone: (886) 861-8182
Fax: (812) 428-3523
LVNV Funding, LLC / Resergent
Yahoo Map
9700 Bissonnet, Suite 200
Houston, TX 77036
Resurgent Capital Services LP
LVNV FUNDING
15 South Main Street Suite 600
Greenville, SC 29601

LVNV purchases charged-off accounts from the creditors and pursue the debtors to collect the unpaid amounts. However, it is often said that LVNV doesn't collect the accounts by themselves, but again forwards the accounts to various collectors and attorneys for collection.

However, the method to deal with the collectors remains the same. If you find their name listed in your credit report (or are getting contacted by them regarding collection), the first and the wisest step would be to send them the validation of debt letter. The collector is required to validate the debt before they can move-along with the collection process. It simply implies that if the collector can't validate the debt, they can't collect on the account as well.

Default LVNV funding LLC

I noticed on my credit report that there is a company called LVNV Funding LLC for $3195. The address and phone number are PO Box 10584, Greenville SC 29603-0584 and the phone number listed is 866-464-1183.

When I enter the phone number on the BBB website, it comes up with a Houston, TX address.

Has anyone dealt with this company or do you know anything about them?

Thanks

Default Confirm LVNV funding LLC address from bureau

Call the bureau and confirm address of LVNV funding if you are in a fix. Do you owe anything to this company? If so, write a letter about settling this account. The stay of this account in your CR is hurting your credit rating.

Default Dispute LVNV funding marking with credit bureau

If there is no legitimate reason for LVNV Funding LLC to stay in your credit report, then you should place a dispute with them and get the account removed from your file. Here is a letter that you can use to clarify the matter:

Quote:
YOUR NAME
ADDRESS
CITY, STATE, ZIP CODE

CREDITOR NAME
ADDRESS
CITY, STATE, ZIP CODE

Date:

To Whom It May Concern:

My credit rating was negatively affected by your entry to the <CREDIT BUREAU> that showed a past due status of my account with you. Therefore, I request that you submit a statement to <CREDIT BUREAU> that reflects the actual status of my credit report.

Thank you for your attention to this request.

Sincerely,

Your Name
Be sure that you have sent this letter certified with return receipt requested.

Thank you so much for having LVNV's telephone number. I have never heard of this company until I pulled my credit and the company was on there.

kchriste, be sure to check the statutes before you make any payment towards the account or sign a promissory note. Check the date of last activity and see if it is within the statutes.

Under no circumstances, you will be forced to pay the debt to LVNV funding if it is past the statutes. However, if the stay of this account is too far from the 7 years mark as per the FCRA, paying it off will be improving your scores.

Default lvnv wrong info

Really? oh you know what I just looked at it and I gave wrong info, it was only from 2003. LVNV funding LLC recently sent us a letter stating we can pay $20 a month after we called an inquired about it and they said we are to pay it in full and there are no settlments.

Default Is the LVNV funding debt real?

If it's a legitimate debt, don't roll it further. Consider paying it off at one single time. It will only improve your credit worthiness. You are already trying hard to improve your ratings. Any constructive steps taken will be helpful to your credit worthiness.

Unfortunately we cannot pay it off at one time. I know that would be better for us to do but we just don't have that money laying around or else I would. That's why I try and do as much as we can to take care of these things.

Default LVNV Funding summon

Elaina, you must visit the office of the local County Clerk and see if there is any legal judgment in your name. Check whether the plaintiff if LVNV Funding LLC.

Normally, in case of a legal judgment, court papers are served 20 days in advance to attend the hearing. Were you served any such court papers? Also, please check the latest copy of your credit report and see if it's shown on there.

Without the legal papers, the judgment won't be considered legal. The company might have framed a letter putting some legal affect in it.

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. You can take some restitution program and see if you can qualify for it.
