I found this account on my credit report and didn't know what it was. It was my Macy's Visa account. My report showed the Macy's card (for store use only) and this Visadsnb (which is set up for any purchases outside of a Macy's store. So be sure to ask for BOTH accounts to be closed.

So I have a question...on my credit report both of these things have come up. But it says that both accounts have been closed, and i never paid late. Is there even a point in calling up the companies, since it shows that I have good credit?

When you apply for a Macy's Department Store credit card they give you a Macy's card AND a VISA card. Two different account numbers. You may pay one bill however, there could be activity on the other acct. Don't ask me how this is legal. I got a call re: an $80 balance on the acct. being past due. I wasn't receiving statements or anything. It's completely unethical and alhtough it stinks, I'm glad I'm the not only one having dealt with this situation. I cancelled everything Macy's.

VIS- Visa
D- Department S- Stores N- National B- Bank this shows up with a macy's account if you look at a macys card it has a visa logo and can be used as any other visa card. if you use it at macys it goes on the MCYDSNB account and if you use it elsewhere it goes on the VISDSNB account. Hope this helps |

MCYDSNB
MCYDSNB shows up when you have a Macy's card. I suppose VISDSNB, as some of you suggested is either an erroneous addition by the Macy's people when you open an account or it is a deliberately tied product (which would be illegal under TILA). Regardless, I will dispute the VISDSNB issue and I suggest you do the same.

I saw VISDSNB on my report and thought someone had stolen my identity. I had it investigated through a CRA and removed. Afterwards, I found this page and have now realized that VISDSNB appeared at the same time as my MCYDSNB (Macy's card). They must be connected. Although I have no idea why Macy's would choose to open two separate accounts that connect to one card!?!
