folks, the reality is, the three credit bureaus EXIST to provide their members with credit information about potential customers - they do not have to do any favors for consumers, and there are no laws regarding THEM whatsoever - only those who report. I've tried having double, triple and even quadruple entries deleted by dealing directly with them and they simply will not do this. I've also sent them COURT DOCUMENTS showing an account dismissed and judgments paid in full, and still, THEY WILL NOT remove these items, simply marking them as disputed. The only way to effectively have these things removed is to go through your state attorney general's office and file a complaint.
Midland Credit Management seems to respond well under threat from the state's attorney's offices, but no one else. And forget believing anyone at Midland will honor any request you make to them for account information. If ONE Person reading this has requested account information from Midland and actually gotten it, please let me know, but I don't think this ever happens, even under court order.
