I am glad I found this site. I also am not paying the $ 910.00 they say I owe to Direct TV. I had Direct TV back in the early to mid 1990's and when I called Direct TV today they could not find anything. They could not find anything by way of the account number, old home phone number, access card or serial number on the unit which by the way back them was $450.00 to buy what they now put in every room of the house for free.

I got a phone call asking for my SS# saying I owed over $70 on my TMobile bill--they claimed the account was in my maiden name and I have never had an account with TMobile or anyone else. My phone services have all been either under my mom's name or my husband's name. They promised to continue calling until I paid the debt because I refused to give them my SS#. Would this be considered harasment?

In my opinion, this law office is shady indeed. They have been calling my phone number for months for someone - apparently just because they have the same last name. In fact, if you search their phone number you can find several reports of their seemingly doing this.

I would not send them money.

I would not hire them.

I would file complaints.

NEVER! EVER! give anyone your social security number over the phone even if they ARE a valid debt collector.

I agree, this so called collection agency, which is NOT licensed to practice debt collection in MN has been robo calling my home number for the past 6 months, looking for someone who does not live , nor has ever lived at my residence. Their staff & management are rude & unprofessional ! DO NOT EVER GIVE THESE CROOKS ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION !

After reading this, I am glad I kept my paid off receipts from T-Mobile when the contract ended. We also get calls from an automated recording which garbles the name MNK and tells the answering machine not to listen to the call if "this is not you". It also tells you to press a # "if this is ***"--good luck getting an answering machine to do that.

I have recently recieved a letter from Mitchell N Kay P.C. Law firm for a cell bill that was paid in full over 7 years ago, not 1 of their employees could speak english and when I asked to talk to Mitchell N Kay they told me he was not available I got just as rude as they did and demanded to talk with him they put me on hold and no one ever returned to the line. I will not be sending them any money this so called bill doesnt show up on my credit report. I refused to verify my last four of my SS number and my address that made the rep and his supeorvisor very mad. I have already been a victum of Identity Theft and do not verify SS number with anyone I have passwords they verify instead.

When I lost my job, I couldn't pay my American Express bill. I got sent to a collection agency called NCO and then to Mitchell N Kay. Recently I received a letter to summon me to appear in court from the law firm of Mitchell N Kay.I was truly frightened. I was kept getting these awlful phone calls and decided to call back the law firm and was set up with a payment plan that I kept up for a couple of months. But I noticed, my balance would go back up to the original debt because of some legal fees. I felt like my debt would never end. Now looking at these threads, I have feeling my money is not going to the proper place. I'm not sure what to do next?

Been getting repeated calls from 'kay mitchell n.' No message. When I do pick up, there was noise in the background but no answer. Last I checked (re-financed last fall) my credit was perfect (809 score) and as far as I know I have no outstanding debt. Only was in collections once in 2005 with 'Comcast.' I was disputing a charge of $85 and they immediately put me in collections. Settled with Comcast directly. Have the receipt from the local office. Wonder if they found this and are trying to get a second payment (and keep it). Doesn''t show up on my credit report as well it shouldn't. Seems like they're fishing for cash.
