After your bill is paid get a LETTER OF SATISFACTION, This states what you paid, to whom you paid it and for what you paid. This can be your proof to the credit agencies if the account owners are dragging their feet on reporting it to the credit bureaus. Keep proof of payment until you are satisfied the issue is closed. If you paid a bill in full and a collections agency writes you to pay that same bill and you paid it and then found proof, get all the documents together, photocopy them and send it to the account owner for a refund.
Law offices of mitchell n. kay have been in business for a number of years, if they were doing deceptive and shady practices, they would have been shut down a long time ago. Lets face it, noone likes to be forced in paying a debt they probably cant afford at that time or that they plum forgot about. But someone has to collect it, as long as my rights are not infringed upon and total respect is maintained, feel free, do your job.

if you work for M.N.K then you don't do a job.you break the law.the only reason this bottomfeeder is still in business is simple.when (thanks to this, and other sites) someone exercises their rights with a DV,or C&D letter.you drop it like it was radioactive.why?because every debt,or supposed debt you try to collect is either.paid in full, past SOL,or doesn't even exist.if you ever pursued any DV with further collections,or actually took someone to court after getting a DV,or C&D letter.you would lose big time.back to the phones drone.

I received a call from them today. I laughed because the automated message said it would pause for three seconds in case anyone was nearby so I could walk away and no one could hear the message but me as it contained private and personal information and that by continuing to listen to the message I was acknowledging that I was the person they mentioned. I was really hoping at the end it would say this message will self destruct in three seconds.

I just got the same call they tried my mobile then called my roommate's mobile which was bizarre. Indian accent, told me i have debt w T mobile who I haven't used in YEARS. When I contested he asked me for my SSN at which time I hung up. If this is the real deal they need to send me something in mail. Oh btw they were also asking for consent of recording the conversation. I said no. The number came from 866-355-9587.

As per FDCPA guidelines, the collection agency cannot contact neighbors, relatives or employers regarding your debt. Next time, if the collection agency calls your room-mate regarding your debts, let them know that they have violated laws and you may take actions against them.

Received calls from Mitchell Kay for a Karen Hargraves. However, that's not my name. I am not related to the person. Dunning me for someone else's debt.
