Guest, a cease and desist letter will stop all collection calls coming at your end. Here is a template of the letter

Sending this letter does not erase the debt at all. You will still owe this debt if it is a legitimate one. Call the companies and try to figure out your arrangements with them.

Well, since GW Financial is not liscensed to do business in Virginia dn they have extended/bought back and did a new check every 2 weeks for 17 months, I wonder if that would work for me in Virginia? What type of letter did you send them? Email or fax?

You must have a proof of the letter received by the company. Send it through certified mail with return receipt requested. You will have the green copy singed by them and this will serve as records for you.

I am going to both fax and email it...and if necessary, since I work for a major delivery company, I will send a copy overnight, signature required of course !!!

Has anyone in ohio send out letters to the PDL companies and where in the ORC did you find the law that governs them?

I too also borrowed your letter outlined above. I went to the state of MI website and found similar laws to yours in Texas and just plugged inthe info. I did change a few things around and specifically added dates and the only person's name that I had had contact with in the past for GFSIL. I did request a refund and a PAID IN FULL on account. We'll see what happens. For other people fighting GFSIL, the gentelman I spoke to in August was Nat Williams. Phone 877-280-2337 and the email i sent the letter to was returns(at)gfsil.com

Good job, dude! You were able to see your accounts settled by your pdl company because you were following the laws and been in the fair side. Congrats!
