I was just reading a thread, and is Cash Transfer Centers and Northway Credit both the same company? Are they also a Canadian companies? Also, it says that Sonic is in Canada, but the one I am trying to deal with gives me an Idaho address.

Cashtransfercenter and Northway are the same company. If you go to http://www.bbb.org and do a search on both companies you will get all the contact information that you need on both of them there. They have a Pa address and something overseas, either way, all the information is there for you.

Go to http://www.bbb.org and you can look up any company that you need information on, just in case they play the evasive game of having several address's, some do and they will all be listed there for you. goodluck.

Unfortunately, I have fallen prey to this awful PDL cycle. I have about $2500 dollars to repay due to me being off work not enough hours and a mortgage to pay for. However, I haven't had to start out paying them back until next week. How can they charge $90,$60,$127 dollars in fees each time since they do not pay off your loan they just keep taking the interest fees. Please help figure out the best way to approach paying them back.

I applied for a pdl from CTC and was told I had to fax a recent payslip. I could not fax this at the time and had to borrow eslwhere, The next day the loan was sent to my checking account. When I contacted them about it they said I had to pay $108 on the $400 to have the loan taken back out of my account

Close your checking account or they will keep debiting it. These nuts do not listen, they are one of the worst ones that I dealt with. They only have their collection thugs here in the US, all the rest is on the Island of Malta, where ever that is.

All their collections are done out of Surrey, B.C., not Malta. Like I have said previous, this is just a mailing address, the physical address was booted out of Malta for fradulent business practices. Their parent company, E-Care Contact Centers and NDG Financial are being investigated by federal authorities and if you look elsewhere in the forum you will see that they are slowly being run out of Canada. They also own a company called Blizzard Interactive who handles their website and marketing support. Also, if you look at the website blizzardinteractive.com, you will notice that one of their people listed is actually a supervisor for E-Care Contact Centers customer support group. Strange. I want this company out of Canada and criminal charges filed.

Great information pdlinvestigator, I actually did use the Oaks, Pa address to fax my revocation of voluntary wage assignment and it was scanned in by the crew and was listed on the webpage that I could access when I signed it. Along with my paystubs that I had to provide initially.

I search the bbb.org with the term, northway financial, check it out for yourself.

Does not surprise me they are everywhere, with different names.

To all those who have or had problems with Northway credit, cashtransfer centers or any of the other names they do business under: Northway Credit is not licensed in the US, therefore can not do business or rather should not be doing business. By going by various names they somehow manage to skirt under this. Advice to you all: contact your state's attorney general's office, better business bureau...file complaints with both. If need be and so you'll have money in your accounts...close your present checking accounts and open another with your bank or a different one. Do not give the lenders your new acct. info...this will defeat the purpose of closing your account. Because these companies will try to debit under different amounts it is not always the best course of action to stop payment in ACH transactions, especially through payday lenders. They are as shady as any business comes and will use every possible deceitful method they can to obtain money. If they are not licensed in the US and it is illegal to give payday loans in your state , then they shouldn't have given the loan. Do not take out payday loans...they are a sure fire way to financial ruin. Find other ways to get yourself help besides this. These places fall under various names and addresses throughout the world and you do not ever speak to the same person twice. Most, if not are all foreigners that you can't understand. Be careful giving out your account info. to anyone. As for my experience with cash transfer centers...I'm glad I found this site and will see them in Hell before they get another dime out of my husband and I. To think the way that we were linked with them was through a place called Christian Faith Financial...don't fall for that one. I will let them place this with collections and then dispute it from there. Finance charges alone the last 3 months have well taken care of the amount borrowed to begin with. Once you get into the payday loan's vicious cycle it is hard getting out. Change your account info and then work on settling(if that's what you wish to do) from another angle. Good luck to you all.

All of you complaining, arguing, saying you will close you bank accounts...oh please...you asked for a loan...you agreed to the terms...you have a voice and you can ask questions before signing for the loan...when you are in NEED these payday companies provide you with funds...YET when it's time to pay AS AND WHEN YOU AGREED TO!!! you turn around and not keep your end of the deal?? What if they said NO when you needed the funds to begin with? Why not complain when you were using the money they borrowed you? WHY NOT PUT A STOP TO THE CREDIT!!!! yeah exactly! NONE of you complain about getting the money ONLY about paying it...YOU want payment arrangements BUT when the loan was given to you it was ALL AT ONE not 100 her and 200 there.....THE EXACT AMOUNT YOU ASKED FOR WAS GIVEN....THEREFORE PAY THE FULL AMOUNT REQUIRED ALL AT ONE!

Truth,is there a point to this useless baseless drivel you're spouting or did you just not make quota for the week. I really don't know why people waste our time coming here and throwing all this negative mess around our board. I will close with my own deadly barb:If your company follows the laws of this country and each individual state you lend in,you would get the full amount lent! Now bugger off and go bother some other board.

I have to agree that Sonic/CTC/Northway is one of the worst companies that I dealt with. They do not follow state laws. Nor are they licensed to loan money in my state or any other state (that I know of) to loan money. They will try any ILLEGAL tactic to collect their money. Be careful when dealing with them but don't let them intimidate you.

baseless you say??? like I said before, all these people posting and whinnying about closing accounts, about not paying a cent, about sleeping better because they will not worry about collectors...instead of saying close accounts, ask the bank to stop debits, why not give better advice and options. Why not say you agreed to something and you should keep that promise/agreement you made. Not like many postings here "I will make an offer and if they take it fine, if not then too bad!" To begin, these payday companies did not drag you by the hair and make you sign agreements...you people are not blind and illiterate...or are you?....and as far as following "the laws of this country and each individual state you lend in" why not do your research to see if these laws are being followed before signing on the dotted line....NOT AFTER the loan is due and you find out nothing can be done to avoid paying the loan amount.
