Under the new law, you are entitled to free credit report from the 3 credit bureaus once a year. Go to annualcreditreport.com.

Visit the FTC's website annualcreditreport.com and order your copy. You can also call them at 1-877-322-8228 or fill the Request form. Mail it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281

While you are ordering for a copy, you have to give your name, Social Security number, and date of birth. You might also be required to give some specific information that you only know for verification purpose. This can be the amount you pay for your monthly mortgage.
