Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted on here. Just letting all know that I have paid off one of five accounts so far, and that I paid down two balances quite significantly. So, I should have 3 out of 5 paid off soon. The two I paid down significantly have balances at about $150 each. I am almost there! Plus, it helps that I got a raise in pay at work.

Just thought I would share the good news.

Way to go Zacman It feels so good when you can get some of them knocked down! I got the IRS paid off finally, and by the end of this month another smaller one. Hopefully in a year I will have most if not all paid.Keep at it!...Karen

Hi Zachman

Hooray!!Way to go!! Every single bit counts! I am sure you will pay off the remaining accounts as well with this dedication.

Are you paying the accounts on your own or using any professional help? If you have hired a dmp, use the same monthly payments towards the remaining accounts. This will help you to come out debt free in lesser time.

If you are paying on your own, just stick to your monthly payments. I will give the same suggestion in this regard also.

The countdown has just begun. I am glad you are taking care of your financial situation with your experiences. Best of luck!

I love hearing success stories!!!!! I can't wait to post my own. I'm freaking out a little bit. I defaulted on sonic payday today. I was in the proceess of working out a payment arrangement when the rep. said, "by the way, we will still attempt to collect the full amount via ACH debit even if you send your payments western union". The call quickly ended and I completed a stop payment affidavit with my bank. They assured me they will not pay any debits from them. I'm praying they processed the stop payment, otherwise, I'm in trouble. I'll know for sure in the morning. I am going to pay sonic according to their original payment arrangement offer. We will see.... I'm so scared. I've heard they can get nasty. My loan was due 5/31 and I can pay in full by 6/30. That's only30 days. What do any of you think they may do.... Can't sleep... very scared.....

Thank you everyone. It feels so good to see balances going down. I am not using professional help yet. I am working with my bank's program to help with the consolidation of a few accounts. I want to get two more paid off, and then I will have the consolidation company work with my 2 large accounts.

I'll be to sure to keep posting the good news!!
