Ok I was served a summons to go to court over a 700 att bill that palisades owned....even though the summons said it was a credit card anyways i answered summmons and went to court....the lawyer never showed up......Not saying that happens all the time but it was worth a shot. the case was dismissed

I need help please! I went to apply for a loan today and was told I had a collection account from Palisades open for over $7000. I came home and ordered my credit report from all 3 agencies and saw that it was on there 2 times and also that my Chase credit card account that was discharged in bankruptcy years ago for the exact same amount Palisades is showing was showed as status in collections when it should be charged off? Does anybody have advice on what I can do? My credit is bad enough without this inaccuracy! Does calling them do anything?

CJ, call a consumer attorney (naca.net) with knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. i recently went to use my bank card at a store and found that it was denied.so i checked with the bank and this palisades froze my account and too 75.00 legal fee. now mind you i am on workers comp. I have been for 3 years now. I had made payment arrangements with the people of 10 every 2 weeks and they took the first payment but then sent me a letter telling me that the payment was not acceptable. To me that sounds like refusal of payment. I know they can not touch my workers comp legally. how can i get my money back from them.

I have satisfied the payment showing on my CR and am having a hard time getting Palisades Collection L.L.C./Merchants to show the account as closed. This was originaly an AT&T disputed amount owed from a cell acct. over three years ago. Something I keep in mind when choosing a cell carrier. Are you listening Cingular? I received a letter from Wolpoff & Abramson, RE: Palisades Collection for an AT & T account. I have never had an account with AT & T or any one associated,bought out,etc. with AT & T. The letter was addressed to the company that I work for but sent to my home address. This is not my debt. What do I do? I have reported them online to FTC and am going to call AG tomorrow. Sending a certified letter. I have perfect credit. Can these people be stopped?

I sent a certified letter to Palasades and got the green card back. What do I do now it has been over a month and no word from them about account details. It is really screwing up my credit. Any help would be great.

Palisades will not answer your request no matter how many green cards you get back. I have sent three certified letters with return receipt with no answer. I have also called them four times requesting validation of debt. The CRA's have investigated (that is a joke) and validated the debt. This is done electronically; all they do is ask "is this correct, and the collection agency sends back-yes." They have put on my reports "debt validated, consumer disagrees." Plus Palisades has added "Responsible Party" on my file. I have put a permanent block to sell my credit information on my CRA reports. The CRA's lose money if they can not sell your information. I have had perfect credit unitl Palisades showed up. I figure that blocking the credit report money making system for the CRA's will cost them. Everyone should do this to the CRA's. The FRCA makes rules to protect consumers that they never inforce. Ya another joke of a system. _________________ Register today to encash debtcc points.

They tried to sue me and lost because they could not provide me with documentation for an alleged Discover Card. In the whole process they violated quite a few FDCPA / FCRA Statutes. I recently just received a summons from them that stated that I had to be in court when I called to find out what was goin on the customer service rep was very rude to me and told me that I was wasting his time and he was going to terminate the call and hung up on me before he hung up he was sure to tell me that he was going to mark my account as a refusal to pay and he really doesn't care about my account.

I just checked my bank statement and saw holds of $1700+ on both my checking and savings accounts (one of which is now way in the negative because of this). I believe that my mother might owe Providian/Chase money, but that should have nothing to do with me. My mom made me an authorized user on her card when I was 16 or 17, but I don't think I ever even used the card. The bank says that they received a court order to put a hold on the money, but I have never received a summons, or any letter from the court. What would my best course of action be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this phone bill of mine is way past due .I'm just now starting to pay on it trying to fix my credit with this law firm .I have already made two other payments and this past week in the mail they sent back my last payment stated that my account was recalled what ever that means. the company that I have to deal with now is Palisades Collections,L.L.C. but I can not find a phone number for them only a address and I have not yet recieved any thing from thim in the mail yet.CLUELESS AND PISSED OFF.
