I received a bill from palisades in nov of 2006. it was such a small amount that i just paid it. previously when i've paid collection accounts right away they don't even report it. then in april of 2007 it appeared on my credit report stating that it's paid. however, it also said it was in collections as of april 2007. how can it be in collections in april if i already paid them like 6 months before?? when i called them they said that it's reported properly. can they report it as still being in collections 6 months after it's been paid? also, they said the date doesn't matter since it says it's paid, but when my credit report is reviewed it looks like i was delinquent 6 months more recently than i was. any advice?

I got this notice in the mail saying my man owes 2,080.73. We can't think of any reason why would we owe anyone anything, but they are threatening to garnish earned wages. I am getting very upset!

These guys have been calling me for about a month with an automated voice message saying "This is not a sales call please call ..." So I wrote it off because I was never at a place where a pen was handy. So I was finally able to call the number today and asked who I supposedly owed money to. I couldn't understand the lady because she was Indian but she said ".... (something) Greg" then we were cut off. For the rest of the morning I prowled the internet to find a phone number. I used 201-567-5648 to call and get a customer support line (by the way if you call make sure you enter in a number of importance because if you try customer support you will get a voice mail. Same with disputes you'll sit on the phone for an hour waiting for someone to answer instead I hit the button for paying a balance not only did I get someone in America but I didn't have to wait.) The customer support line number is 1-800-873-5648 I tried the customer support option no dice there so I called back and put that I was trying to pay. The guy asked for my social and I refused to give it to him. I said that I would give him the phone number they had been calling. I gave it to him and he said that nothing came up that there was no balance. He then asked for my name first and last and started going through street addresses...mine wasn't in there. Strange since when I called earlier and gave them my phone number something showed up but now it isn't there. I've never gotten a credit report because I've never owned a credit card, and I pay my bills. So if this company shows up on my credit report whenever I decide to get one there will be a problem. If anyone has experienced something similar to my situation and still had problems let me know.

Thank You

being harassed too. Received 10 calls from these people, because they are so damn irritating! Its a recorded call when you answer; and they say its "not sales call, call 1-800-414-8319". God i want to throttle them.

I checked my credit history and I dont see anything posted by them under any name. I do have two accounts with HSBC; one is closed and the other one is in good standing. So I dont know why they'd be calling.

I am however paying off a collection debt that was levied against me, but that is in progress and I've been paying on that for the last 6 months.

I tried getting away from this company and turn to Cingular Wireless who now becomes Simple Worthless as they are now the new AT&T who turned the account I supposedly closed over to Pallisades Collection agency. They are ruining my credit as I believe I owe AT&T nothing and cannot get them to go away. The only thing they should be charging me for would be to break the contract ahead of time. I am trying to get the issue resolve from all angle and cannot get this done. This is has now become my worst nightmare

I was shocked at how many consumers are victim to Palisades Collections' scam. They have been pursuing me for almost a year for what now to me seems like a very minimal amount ($475.14) via AT&T. I called AT&T directly & thoroughly discussed the situation with them & confirmed their records do not show any indication of delinquent payment(s) owed. I ran a credit report via Equifax & discovered this alleged debt is affecting my credit history and filed an on-line dispute so this can also be investigated prior to knowledge that this has been going on for so long and so many other people have been affected. Good luck to one and all fighting the good fight!

Palisades has gotten me all the way to trial on a collection . All court dates where always sent to a later date. My SoL in my state is 4 years. On my credit report clearly state date of last activity. The amount was $4K, now they want $7K. I’m standing my ground. Will keep all posted. Wish me luck.

We just got a letter from Palisades yesterday and yes we had one car loan debt with them that we still pay monthly. We're in good standing never missed a payment. The loan is through Citibank. But they're telling us it was for a credit card. We never had a credit card through citibank. We called citibank and it is a scam that thousands fall for. Make sure you report it to a fraud website.
