PROBLEMS???? These people are the devil's advocate. Please if you can go to Ripoff.com and read what they did to a woman. They did it to me too. Then when everything was paid, I started to receive checks back from them. I still to this day did not receive a Paid in Full from them.

They should be shut down immediately if not sooner.

As a full time representative for ATT Wireless (formerly Cingular) in the Receivables Management (Collections) department, you all have to know that some of the things you are saying are incorrect. I had a woman call about Palisades Collection showing on her credit report call in today. She wanted to know if I could find the old account she supposedly had. She was transferred to me from the CARE market (We use two different billing systems, I am in the Telegence Market), where a representative had done a search by name and SSN to locate her supposed account. I did the same in my system and found nothing. I deal with pissed off customers every day due to suspended, cancelled and written-off accounts. ATT Wireless does NOT use Palisades Collection as an OCA. We do not use them. Never had. If you have problems with Nationwide Recovery Systems or AR Warehousing, then by all means, blame it on ATT. But there is absolutely no correlation between ATT Wireless and Palisades Collecions. An OCA has 30 days to get you a detailed statement of the charges, if by then they cannot or do not provide this information, they must remove the charges. You are covered as a consumer against OCA's, please research the fdcpa to read those rights. Also if you mail an OCA a check and in the memo field write "Paid in full," even if the amount does not fully pay the debt, if they cash the check then your debt has been PAID IN FULL.

I went from a 752 credit rating to a 630 because I was 120 delinquent from a company I knew NOTHING about.

I had a relative open a Verizon Account in my name while I was away in college. I could file a police report, but it's family. I am willing to pay the debt and I HAVE paid it. I settled for less than the original amount. But how do I get the delinquent staus of 120 days OFF of my credit? Can I dispute the fact that i NEVER received a letter or call about this debt prior to it showing on my credit report? Please help!

Lashawnya the only quick way to remove that account is to file a id theft report with your local police and send copy to creditor and each credit bureau.Send this certified return receipt.

I am not too sure if this is my first one with them OR not. I just received this in the mail as of SAT JUL 28 2007. They are telling me that this debt came from Citibank - TOTAL CONSUME NON-FEE (Centurion). I am not too sure about this BUT I am not going to mess with this. I have been googling these collection agencies and they could be a bunch of phoney companies.

I would not trust these collections agencies and also keep a good eye out on your caller id ---

What can I do to stop these harrassing Collection Agencies?

Hello,
I just received a collection letter from these yahoos and the thing was dated 3 Jul which for one thing doesn't give me enough time to respond before the 30 days and also is an account for a company I have one acct with. After contacting the company I have the acct with I found the acct # is different than the one from palisades and I am going to request a validation tomorrow morning by phone...recorded of course. I think it is a scam of some kind, will keeep you posted.

I just got a letter from Wolpoff & Abramson, some law office in Denver, CO, stating that I owe AT&T $3,180.92. I won't lie but I am totally freaking out about this. I try contacting the law office and of course, it's closed. I called AT&T and one of the numbers says that their offices are closed. I find another number but they are requiring an account number in order to get through to someone. Here's the thing: I've NEVER had an AT&T account. Therefore, I have no idea what all of this is in regards to. I am literally sick to my stomach at this point because I have no idea what I need to do!

Sub: #266 I filed police report...

I paid the amount owed because the representative at Allied told me I could dispute it w/o filing a police report againt my relative. I called Palisades and asked them to remove it since I paid off the debt but they told me once I paid them I couldn't dispute it to get it removed from my credit report. I was lied to. So I filed a police report and the representative at Allied is telling me she's documenting this (she's pissed off because I placed a stop pay on the debt) and that my relative did it. If my relative did it, then why should I pay for this debt?

I don't want my relative in trouble. I was told that the debt would become thewirs and they won't have to go to jail. I hope this is true. Anyone know what I can do? I am mailing the police report to the Credit Bureaus. I just hope my relative is not in trouble. They are willing to pay off the debt. It's NOT mine. I was paying on this not knowing I could have filed a report.

Palisades wasn't on it in March 2007... but when I pulled a recent credit report it says it was reported in March 2007. I never received anything from Palisades to validate this debt. I can't believe it shows a delinquent account when they NEVER contacted me.

It's BULL! Is it legal for them to just place a debt on your credit report WITHOUT contact?

Palisades through a lawyer presented my husband with a lawsuit. To our surprise this was the first and only contact we have had with these people. Can they sue with out ever contacting you?
