Paul Kupferstein - Mr. David - EBSI- 900 Number Dialers

Well, Charlene - I did call today and asked for you. It went to your voice mail and then instead of letting me leave a message it sent me back to the main directory. I then tried Mr. Kupferstein extension -- same thing. I then tried "Mr. David"..and you know what? He answered! I then told him who I was (name, etc.) ... (you keep on saying 'File number' or whatever, but, of course, I have no idea what that is).. after being put on hold for at least 5 minutes Mr David came back and said he knows who I am, and who I supposedly owe money to....then when, FOR THE 5th TIME, i asked for verification HE REFUSED and said that I should be getting served by a representative in my state any day now. When I tried to ask again for validiation he said that he has no obligation to give that to me and literally hung up on me. I tried Charlene.. I really did. But, after today I know now that yall are not legal. Seriously, I you meaning to tell me that only you can give me validation of my debt??? That is one screwed up company you work for if so!

THIS IS ALL THE TOTAL TRUTH.

Mr. David - you should see if you can record those calls. Check to see if you have to notify him in your States laws 1st.

Yes, I'm sure you are telling the truth Mr. David. God knows you've not told any untruths on this forum before.

Charline:

Thanks for your good wishes.

May I propose something? You say you know who I am and that you are familiar with my file. Would it be possible, then, for YOU to call ME at the numbers listed on my file...if you are truly willing to help? If I know that it is YOU and not "Mr. David" calling, then I will take the call and we can discuss this … on one condition: that you treat me with respect and compassion … not abuse. I don't think that's asking for too much.

But as I have stated before...and I can definitely speak for myself in saying I am not lying....I will not call your firm again on my own if I am only going to be bounced over to Mr. David and treated as I personally have been treated thus far: talked around in circles, verbally abused, and hung up on. It's too unnerving and frustrating ... and I have enough to deal with in my life right now. Plus, it would be a waste of good long-distance dollars. And Lord knows I need every penny.

Thanks.

P.S. – If you agree to do this, it would be a good thing to plan a specific date and time for the call in order to make sure I'm available to receive it.

"I'm out of it for a little while, everybody gets delusions of grandeur." -Han Solo

Sorry - vacation for me. And man....did this thread explode while I was gone. :) Now, I see many more people posting with similar stories. I also see Charline didn't actually quit, still supports her company, still wants SOMEONE to call her and calls each one of us a liar. I also saw a lot of interesting things that I'd like to comment on:

1) A TON of new questions have been asked, but many again were either totally ignored, or responded with the ol' "give me a call and I'll discuss your case". Charline, I think it would help many people if you either answered simple questions or had an 800 number to contact. I know I am not spending another penny to contact your office about a bogus debt.

2) Name calling is happening again from both sides. I think if we are to hopefully resolve this issue or get into any direction of fairness, we need to keep the name calling out of the picture and stick with facts. That goes for guest, guest1, Intimidated, erzeke and Charline. Agreed?

2) Charline, you posted this many pages ago:

We work on a contingency fee basis, I assure you we do not profit from 100% of the collections. How on earth did you deduce that since we don't purchase files we must then keep all of the money? We are forwarded the necessary information required to pursue debtors. It's all the back up that I'm referring to. Some companies have pages and pages of electronic communications from each debtor! Again, you're looking for something that just isn't there.

You state you are "forwarded the necessary information required to pursue debtors". Your exact words. Now, if you are forwarded all this information, how is it that your company cannot, nor will not, provide proof of debt? Again, I will refer back to Canadian law that states, quite clearly, that a debt collect must, upon request, provide written proof of debt. Many, many people have posted on this thread, stating their horror stories of threats and intimidation when that simple, legal request was made.

4) Before you see this as a Charline bash, let me say this: I do agree there are people out there that have debt, yet are not honorable enough to pay back that debt. That's wrong. If you have been contacted by a collector, and that collector has furnished proof, it is your duty to correct the outstanding debt and make it right.

5) Now, my response to myself: I believe everyone posting in this thread has done just that, and are upset that a new "debt" has come up, yet when the attempt to verify this debt, they receive nothing but threats. That is bad business practice, and illegal no matter how you look at it.

6) My mouse SUCKS! Geeeeez...I need an optical! :)

7) DBA as Cash Now Capital. From what I know, the only reason the BBB of Canada would list that for Mr. Kupferstein is because someone filed forms with that company name from your office. And if it's incorrect, I would let Mr. Kupferstein know so he could get it corrected. I wouldn't want a company like that associated with me and my upstanding position in the business world.

7) DBA as Brian Belmont LLB. Little bit of googling (very little), brought up this:

8) DBA as Paul Kupferstein Barrister & Solicitor. More googling (very little again) and I find this:

2/3s down the page. Another address for Mr. Kupferstein?

9) DBA as International Billing and Recovery Services Inc. Had to work a little on this googling (about 30 seconds), but boy, what I found:

http://www.grandrapids.bbb.org/AlertDetled85.html?ID=201

http://www.state.mn.us/mn/externalDocs/Commerce/Collection_Agency_Acti ons_061005010742_EnfAct-CA01-02thru0505.htm
(5th from the bottom)

So.....Minnesota AND Michigan. Factor in Texas, Illinois and North Carolina and that's 10% of the USA. And that's all I have found so far. How many more of the US Attorney Generals have an issue with Mr. Kupferstein and his entities?

Ok - I'm tired of this mouse for now. I'll be back later.

Since you're back Jeff, I will bow out of this thread gracefully.
I thought my posts were well thought out and my questions pertinent to the conversation.
Name calling is not my forte.
Reprimand duly noted.

jedijeff13,

Outstanding research! I think your post says all that needs saying about the Kupferstein empire.

Zeke - by no means did I want to step on your toes. You stay and be a part of this for you definately added excellent ideas to our discussion. And I'll be honest - I sort of scanned through the names in the past few pages, so if I included you in the name calling, I apologize.

Tell you what - that dinner for Char quitting is now yours. Smile

Erzeke - pls. don't leave. I know I've only been on here a few days, but you've already been a big help and I appreciate your moral support. There are a lot of nice and helpful people on here...but I bet you would still be missed if you left. Sad

Thanks so much for your help.

The real Charline neither got fired nor quit. That post indicating that she got fired was written by someone else.

From what I can tell scanning back on the posts, the people that were indicated as "name callers" pretty much said it how it was or were responding back to attacks on them or were supporting the ones being attacked.
