I received a letter from paydayok saying that they recently discovered that an unauthorized individual may have gained access to some of my personal information.

They have arranged with Equifax to provide their highest level of credit monitoring and insurance serves free of charge.

I don't have the checking account that they have anymore but I wonder what happened?

I signed up for it. It was in fact free. So i guess for the next 12 months i'll know if anyone tries to do anything with my credit.

they may have used one of the third party payment centers that has been in hte news recently.. I think they are required by law to assist you in monitoring since they have a legal obligation to protect your info, but it is nice to see a pdl following the rules

LOL! That was my thinking too, Tammy. I heard a rumor that payday ok might be part of Sonic somehow. I'm not sure though but I'm glad to see this kind of thing happening for some of you. Very Happy

This is at the bottom of the letter that I received from payday ok,Hmmm
I understand that there will be additional terms and conditions included in the service materials that I will receive,including without limitation additional provisions regarding cancellation rights,and limitations on Equifaxs liability,and I will be bound by those terms and conditions unless I immediately cancel the Services upon receipt of the complete terms and conditions.

hmmmm twokid, make sure you read everything very carefully so that your not agreeing to any charges by equifax after a period of time

Did everyone receive this letter if they had a loan with paydayok? i have a loan out with them but havent received it.

I received this too. It made me curious as to actually what has happened to our information. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who got this too.

Equifax won't be charging me because I didn't click the button to continue the credit watch after the year. So I didn't have to enter my credit card number.

We received one of these letters last week, and it didn't give information as to where the ssn leak was. We had paid off this company last summer, so it wasn't even current customers affected I guess.
