Progressive Management Systems & Bank of America

I am curious if anyone has had any luck with Progressive Management Systems. We are making payments through our debt counselors to them for a Bank of America credit card.

They just called and stated that they are just receiving a small amount and that our balance is getting higher. Has anyone been able to get them to agree with credit counselors or has anyone had any luck with Bank of America taking the account back and working the credit counselors?

They won't even discuss the account with our counselors. They just state they are receiving the payment every month. Also we have not received any statements from Progressive or Bank of America. But I have verified that they are the agency that is handling our account.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the latest copy of your credit report? Verify the latest status of this account. It will come with a zero balance if the BOA has sold the account to outside collection agency.

If BOA has hired Progressive Management Systems for collections, you can still work out arrangements with the original creditor. Explain your problems of dealing with the CA. Insist them to pull the account back so that you are able to pay them directly. Ask your consultant to take this initiative.

dispute the debt and cc b of a registered mail. pms is ruthless and has no limits, no rules-some guy sued them and verizon in sacramento, california and won for fdcpa violations.if you get a copy of that judgment and attach it to b of a, it will open their eyes for sure. the owner is rudolfo galicia and tim panta is the head guy there. b of a is reasonable. i settled with them last year for 50% after i called b of a and asked to speak to a manager for an immediate settlement, even when it was pms.
