I am also dealing with RJM LLC but so far so good! I have a small balance and choose to send in monthly payments. After watching Dateline last night (Sunday 09/06/09) and seeing how some of these agencies are acting! All of the agencies on Dateline have been harrassing people and telling them that the Cops where on their way to arrest them for a debt that they owe, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Dateline gave alot of good tips on how to watch out for those kind of agenices and what our rights are. I hope that RJM is not one of these agencies.

i just received a letter from rjm with 3 opportunities to pay my debt which was a take over from my wells fargo overdrafts. if i pay the amount will this clear my name with wells fargo? could there be any negative effects to my credit report and the such? im willing to pay it if it will allow me to get an account again. should i contact wells fargo? what do you suggest? i was turned down trying to buy a new car because i didnt have established credit, and this mark on my report and im just trying to get things cleared up asap. thanks ahead of time.

Very Fishy, got the letter, i called and spoke to rep, bad service to start, spoke with a "stupervisor" and got me removed from "mailing list"??? what gives!!!! this people got SSN partially and they want the rest of the numbers, becareful, i will call to have my credit check and also have it blocked, be aware people is desperate to make money.......

Yes, I received calls a letter saying that they were in charge of collecting a debt from a book club. I sent them a letter for them to validate debt and waited. few weeks later they started calling me, I asked if they had replied to my validation letter and the idiot could not come up with an answer. I got them off my report.

they are still on my credit report for a debt that I paid directly to my debtor already!

Dispute it with the credit bureau.

I had an overdrawn bank account due to fraud, and my bank wouldn't work with me. I had about $700 go into collections with RJM. Even though they are a collection agency, they have been nothing but friendly to me. Their letters are very nice, and they even send prepaid envelopes for my payments. If I don't mail a payment they send me a very friendly reminder (unlike most other agencies) and tell me to just "send what I can." I wish every collection agency was this easy to deal with.

How ironic is it that RJM Acquisitions LLC has filed suit against an 8 year old child claiming that she owes them $1100+ . Are they crazy or what...please respond to this!

This is a collection agency, they don't leave messages or talk, they count on you calling back. they ask if you received a item in the mail or a phone call, they have phone technology to tell your number even if you use call block, they then look up your information by the phone number they called or by the snail mail info you give them. This is how this outfit works, They keep calling my house and asking for an old neighbor of mine, I will file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office to stop the harassment.

I have dealt with RJM before, they have always worked with me and have even offered more than the $150.00 that others have posted. This is the second bill they have contacted me about and they are knocking off $240.00. I have though about seeing if they could handle the other 3 that I have on my credit report. This offer they sent me also has an option of obtaining a credit card but with a place I have never heard of called Genesis Bankcard Services. I saw that and I laughed.

If anyone is having problems with this company, or one of their representatives I'd contact someone higher up uf possible or contact your state DA. You can even contqact the New York DA as well.
