David,

I mean something more like personal harassment, not necessarily a charge of harassment against the company. If this freaky person is taking a number home and calling from her cell phone or whatever, I think that is just weird! I would definitely contact law enforcement on that one. Just my opinion though

Mary,

I completely agree with you here. No collection agency should make a personal remark while collecting the debt. Also, they should not threaten with legal actions verbally unless they intend to do so. In case, there is a need to file a legal case, a formal letter must be sent first mentioning that the account has been in default and all collection measures have failed thereby leading to legal actions.

Debt collections should be based entirely on a professional approach and there should be no personal touch in it. If a collector is going out of the legal lines, he must face our attorney at the court.

If you can take this to an attorney that deals with these types of things, he could subpoena her cell phone bill and your phone bill....and there is your proof right there, simple. You have a case, if you don't give up on it.

At first Salle May Called me all day and night. Then one day i finally picked up the phone and I told this individual to take me off the list, i have all the calls from SM recorded. (yea i cursed her out).

This individual telemarketer called me back! on her regular cell phone! luckily i got her home number and name on my Caller ID. She hasnt called me back since then.

I also told them to take my name off the list, i already sent a cease and desist letter that they signed. So far none of them called me back...yet

Hi HarassedBySallie,

That is horrible that she would call you back on her cell phone...how unprofessional!!!! But it sounds like you have been able to calm the situation with the cease and desist letter...isn't that a great tool?

I hope things continue to go smoothly in this situation for you!
