Too many PDL fees and not enought money HELP ME!!

I am in a serious financial crunch and I have no idea what to do. I have 5 PDL fees that hit my account twice a month among my other bills. I am paying about 700 in fees a month and I am living check to check. I really want to get these paid off without having to close my checking account. What is the best way to go about making payment arrangements with the PDL people. I was just recently paid and after all my fees and other bills came out there was 18 dollars left in my checking account. It took all my power not to apply for another PDL.

Long as you keep your bank account open, you will continue to be hits with fees from the company. I had to close my account and get a new account number. Personally, I think that is the only way you can stop them from hitting up your account with these fees. Once they find out your account is not longer open, most times they contact you and ask if you want to be set up on some sort of payment plan where you can mail in a certain amount (via western union, moneygram, or even a money order) of money monthly to take care of the amount that you owe them. This will save you money, because you will only have to pay them the fee and the actually amount of money your borrowed from them. If that makes sense. Good luck with handling your situation. PLDs are tough and having too many can become a hardship for anyone. Please don't take out another one just to have money in your pocket. It'll just be another debt you have to worry about.

Have you been contacted by a debt counselor yet? If you decide to go with some type of consolidation program there are some that will work with your PDLs.
See if your bank will close that account and if they will give you another account or at least another number (some won't do this). You may be forced to close it even if you don't want to--to avoid losing all of your money to the fees.

Please DO NOT apply for another loan. The best way to get things running smoothly on your side is to close your checking account, unfortunately. The PDL's are so shady that even if they SAY they are working with you regarding a payment plan, they might still try to hit your account. So, first things first, talk to your bank and close your account. Then try to research laws in your state regarding PDL's.

The one problem I have with closing my account is that I just got this account and it's with the bank I work for. I already had to close two accounts because of PDL and I obviously didn't learn my lesson. Has anybody had any success with making payment arrangements without having to close accounts. Last month I had to deal with harassing phone calls from Pre-Litigations (platinum B) from my last account I closed. I am to stressed out to have to deal witht he nasty phone calls I would receive from closing my account.

The payday loans I have are with
FSM Group
500cashnet
JD Marketing
Arrowhead financial
ftr processing
Has anybody ever had to deal with these people? Are they easy to work with?

FSM would not reply to my emails regarding their illegal activities for a week or so. Then, all of a sudden they agreed to mark me paid in full, and have not contacted me since. That was back in April. 500cashnet is HELL!! They never agreed to settle with me, I am paying them through my PDL consolidation company. I don't know about the others.

FTR will probably turn you over to AR Technologies who may work with you on a payment. I really also think that closing the account is the best option because they then no longer have access to your information. I know it can be a pain but in the long run its worth it. I know that we got out of the pdl cycle about 6 months ago and it feels great. Some weeks it's harder than others to not go get a pdl for some extra cash but when I think about all the fees we've saved it's totally worth it. No I don't necessarily need that new outfit or we don't need to eat out, it's just not worth the pdl fees and headaches. Be strong and stay away from pdl's -- they are nothing but trouble and definitely not worth it!! Stick around here with us, we can help.

Yondela, have these pdls blocked from taking any more money from your account. Unfortunately you will have to default on your loan before they will work with you. If you let them keep on taking money and try to set up payment, they will keep on taking money. You work at the bank, tell someone you need to have their payer codes blocked and to leave the amount blank. Then work something out with them one, by one.

I would definitely follow Linnie's advice then. Since you work at the bank you have advantages other people might not. Yes, it is embarrassing but you are being forced to do something. Stand strong and stay away from those horrible PDLs, they will eeat away your financial future.

Yondela...
I'm afraid that you still may have to close one more account if you don't want them hitting it! These guys will find every which way to sneak a debit out on you.
Can you open a new one at a different bank? Use that one specifically for bills and such, and by all means STAY AWAY from the pdl's!
You'll be in a crunch for about a month or so, call the pdl's and tell them how much per month you can pay and get it in writing.
How about a second job for awhile to get your through?

PostPosted: Fri Jun 16, 2006 6:25 am Subject: Feeling a little at ease

A few hours after signing up with this site a counselor called me and the conversation put me at a little ease. I told him my situation and gave him the info to my PDL's and said this is something we can defiantly help you with. Evidently they have pre negotioted terms with these PDL people and with the help of this consolidation I can get these suckers paid of in 6 months. I am going to go from paying $700 a month on just fees to paying $289 a month towards paying them off. The only thing I have to deal with is talking to the PDL's and telling them what I'm going to do. I'm nervous about how they are going to act. I asked the counselor if he has ever dealt with the PDL's I named and he said yes and that a lot of people have them involved with the program. He said they are starting to see more and more of the online PDL's, which is why they set a pre negotiated term. I also talked to the branch manager of my bank and she said instead of closing my account, she can put a hard hold on my account to block any of the debits coming throuh. I'll just have to get cash out before she does it. I have a savings account so any of my ACH payments I have for regular bills I can just switch to that. She said once I get these PDL's taken care of she can take the hard hold off and I can go back to using my Checking account again. I am excited I can actually start the weekend with a smile. I LOVE THIS SITE.
