money has been taken from my account, I have not received statements from anyone. This IS a rip off!!

I had to call my bank and getsome of the debits traced and I found phone numbers that way..You could try that. My bank didn't charge me for it either.

JD is saying right. You must take the help of your bank and find out the company. The bank will dispute with them on the item that they debited. If the company fails to give you any valid info, money has to be credited back to your account.

Your bank will do great help here if they can take care of this matter. You might also be interested in putting your complaint at the FTC, BBB and the AG's office. These types of complaints should not go unheard for future awareness of the consumers.

Yes, i am glad to know i am not alone in this scam. I have had them ,sjm take out$60.00 a month forever. There was one time in the begining they took, $164.50 i am going to notify ftc, bbb, and any one else i can think of. Any more news please email me

Call SJM Marketing at 1-866-722-2770 and inquire about this debit. You can also take the help of your bank and dispute with the company on this item. The company must give a valid reason of this debit made or else they will have to credit the money back to your account.

Nancy, SJM Marketing can be reached at 1-866-722-2770. Call them and know the latest standing of your account. Do you have the payment receipts made to this company? This will prove that you have been paying them regularly on a $300 loan.

I am assuming that your account has not been sent to any outside collection agency as because you have been regular with your bills. Contact SJM marketing and get an itemized statement from them. After you have reviewed each of items properly, make further payment arrangements.

I also have tried contacting SJM marketing and was doing so for the better part of February and March 2006. I received a $300 payday loan from you guys in September of 2005 and was being debited $60 bi-weekly until February of 2005 when your company double debited $60 within a matter of five days. Since then you guys have continued to try and draft funds from the accont and they were not there. I am now beig contacted by what I suppose is a third party collection agency threatening criminal action against me. The representative stated that they would pursue fraud and I believe theft by check charges against me. How can this be fraud when obviously there was intent to repay, thus the 5 months worth of payments. Also, how can you claim theft by check or whatever when you knew the funds weren't there to cover the check when it was written. Can someone who has some legal knowledge reply as to whether these charges are legal.

These are collection threats. Laws for check fraud are not applicable for post dated checks, because they are bad checks from the time of writing.

Someone from Platinum B has posted their comment on this board. You can check it. They have suggested speaking to them directly if you have any problem-

i applied on line and never accepted the loan the i noticed 300 dollars in my account and the say the called me and i accepted the loan on the phone have applied for several loans and 90.00 on 300 is a little high and have several loans for the same amount with less finance charge what to do

Call them back right away. There should be a contract that states you have at least 24 hours to decline the money...without any fees...

Yolanda, if you do not need the money in your account, you need to revert the transaction immediately or else you will catch up with the financial charges.

Call up the payday loan company and send a letter in writing that you want to return the money back.
