Well, I am taking the BIG STEP today and faxing letters to Quik Payday, United and AIP. Wonder how long it will take to get a response. Wish me Luck!!

I got a phone call this morning from an 800 number and I thought ohoh here it comes = there was static on the other end and I thought it was one of those guys - they hung up and called back - it was for something else. whew - I'm a little worried about this....

Heard from AIP - they won't budge and they are with T&C so I will leave them as is

quikpayday was pretty fast sent letter on 4-24 via email, received refund 4-29

I haven't overpaid QuikPayday - only $300 on a $500 loan but the balance is $600. Should I still get a refund? and they are with T&C wanting $100.00 a month for 6 months!

Quik Payday wanted $100.00 from me and I told t&c to only pay them the proposed amount and Quik Payday took the payment each month.

not fair jj, I didn't get a refund. But I got my account marked paid in full and put on a do not loan status.

I agree, no fair, what's up with them it's like they started issuing refunds the day after they wrote us off. Sad

I think the issue of refunds comes in according to how much you had paid them, how many times you had borrowed. At least that is my guess because I haven't been able to figure out any other reason why people get different responses from these pdl companies.

Karen, I wouldn't ask for a refund, but I would continue asking for them to mark the loan paid in full or at least lower the amount owed to what would be owed under VA law. Save you a little money.

Thanks - Quik is with T&C I just want them to say PAID IN FULL I have only paid $300.00 and then defaulted on the $600. I'm really not looking for a refund from those guys even though I borrowed from them several times.

Are you still paying back the loan? Have you requested for an itemized statement about the loan account from the company? You must review your payments made and other necessary info with the company

Well, I'm really not worried about a refund at this point. I had received an e-mail from them a couple of months ago stating that my account was paid in full. Then they turned around a couple of weeks later stating that I owed on a second account. You can't have two accounts with Quik Payday from what I understand. I called them and they had just changed some info around, bank account numbers, e-mail address. It sounded like a scam to me but they have not pursued the situation any further. I have already filed complaints against them with the consumer protection office in my state for not being licensed here. If I ever do here from them again, another round of complaints will go out. I have bigger fish to fry right now. Confused
