These folks call3d me again today and say I owe 400.00 to Rio Resources. I have never taken an loan from Rio and when I told them that I wanted any corresponsdence in writing they claim they have sent me a notice and will not send another one. I am going to send them a valadation letter is there anything else I should do?

Rio could be the new name of the original creditor this debt in question is owed to. If it's a payday loan, these loan shark places buy each other out all the time. If you still don't acknowledge the debt, dispute it.

I think they are also known as Xpress Cash.

I haven't used cash express either. If they send me the info after the validation letter I may recognize the company but I dont Rio or Cash Xpress. I do know one thing for sure when I get rid of my pay day loans I will never take out another one.

I haven't used xtra cash either. Does anyone know of any other names they may go by or why they have so many different names in the first place? That sounds fishy to me.

They claim that they have sent validation, so they must retain some proof! Ask for the CMRRR number. I don't think they have ever sent any letter to you, these are all lame excuses.

CMRRR number is the only evidence here. If they had sent you letter, they should have documented the serial number. If they cannot provide it, their claim becomes baseless. So catch them at this.

Does anyone have an address for United Legal? I just got a call from them at work and the woman started shouting at me over the phone. She wouldn't listen to me and then hung up on me. I want to send them a cease and deist letter. I also called the original creditor and told them I am filing a complaint against them with my consumer protection office because they turned me over to collection after they receive payment through my debt consolidation company.

I don't have an address but I have a fax number. PM me if you want that. The lady I talked to was okay not nice but she didn't yell. They also didn't call me at work. What jerks!

I Had the same thing happen to me. Lady called me repeatedly at work and yells. I have sent a validation letter but they haven't responded and they say they have sent me a letter prior and I never received it. I've never even heard of the company they say I owe money to.

They refused my cease and desist letter I sent certified and as soon as I found out, I faxed it to them.

I am going to fax it to them on Monday. I didn't have a chance on Friday. She wanted a specific time when I could call her back and I said within two hours. She said that wasn't good enough and that's when she started shouting at me. I scared the crap out of the original creditor when I called them too. I called my counselor at T & C and they were going to call the original creditor to help get things straightened out.

Your consolidator is sending money to them right? Then why are they calling you? What could be the reason for these calls?
