Contact Progressive Debt Relief via their website.. They are out of Florida and I live in the Washington State. They have been great in advocating, negotiating and resolving my payday loans (aka merry go 'round ride) these past several months (I'm too ashamed to admit how many payday loans I had. I had medical bills and nowhere else to turn; I was so distraught, I even contemplated suicide). They will negotiate on your behalf and propose to settle paying the payday loan places for less (at least they will get paid, & more importantly, stop the harrassing phone calls!!). Believe me, I had my share of threats of lawsuits, calling my employer, garnish my wages, etc. THEY ARE ALL LIES!!! (They even denied ever being contacted by Progressive, which is one of the services Progressive provides). Now when I drive by "those" places on my way to work, I say to myself, "Thank God for the good people at Progressive and add, never again!!!!" (Because of Progressive, I am still walking the earth and have been able to sleep these past several months ). Please post as to your outcome with Progressive Debt Relief. I KNOW THEY WILL HELP YOU AS THEY HAVE HELPED ME AND MY FAMILY!!!!!!

I have about five loans mostly in Kansas and one in Missouri. The one in Missouri is taking me to court and adding on about 300.00. I am not going to show up as I am barely making any money compared to a few years ago when I had these loans. What are the garnishment laws in the State of Kansas for this type of thing with a judgement? I already have a tax levy that is taking an agreed amount of 25. a week out of my paychecks. Can I still be garnished for the judgement on the payday loan if the court gives a judgement against me?

What state were you actually living in when you took out these loans? Are they Internet or store front loans? I think there can be only one garnishment taken out of a paycheck at a time. So whoever else gets a garnishment will be standing in line.

I live in Kansas and was living in Kansas when all the loans were taken out. I guess they'll be standing in line for months to come. Oh well....their loss I guess.

Are they Internet lenders? There are some lenders who aren't licensed to lend to Kansas state residents.

I don't think it is a good idea not to show up in the court. Why give the chance to the creditor to get a default judgement when you can put up a defence by showing up?

I had three payday loans exceeding 600 apiece. What happened was that i recieved the harrassing phone calls along with my references. After i didn't respond they sent it to their corprate office and i had to pay all of them by a certain date or i would have to go to court. My advice for anyone wanting one to not persue it. It is a trap. You will never get out of it.

I live in Louisiana and ACE threatening to file charges against me. I was contacted by a debt collector this Saturday and they threaten to file charges on Monday. I asked him to give me Two weeks, but he says he could only give me a week, and that's if I give him a credit card or debit card number. He says he's going to file for the max. What does this mean? Are you sure this is not going on my record as a felony and I wont go to jail?

Was this Ace Cash Services or Ace Cash Express? NO, you can not go to jail for owing a debt, that is a flat out lie!

Don't pay anymore. They have already made much bucks off you. The truth is, there is nothing these payday loan people can do to get your money. They love to scare you with jail time threats...will not happen!

I am in the same boat. Ace is calling me on a $600 loan that I just don't have the money to pay. I closed my previous account and opened another so they could not just cash the check. I am going to call and TRY to set up somr kind of payment plan. I was scared of going to jail as well!!!
