Send them a debt validation letter and inform them that you have never been seen at that hospital and you would like to see all the documentation since you fear it might be a case of identity theft and you would like to take care of this right away.

they use scare tactics
one lady asked me if I really wanted to damage my credit report over a $65 dollar debt I know is not valid...and persisted to argue with me!
Scam artists. Get a job with someone you can have pride working for. Is this really the way you want to make your living?!? |

west asset management
I understand everything you guys are talking about. My wife and I have been trying to pay with west asset managment for months now to get them off of our credit. Everytime we call they give us a different amount. One person offers to settle while another says it is more than the balance on our credit report. All we tell them is to send us a statement in writing with an amount on there and we will pay. They never send it and when we call they give a different amount and say we must pay and then they will send a statement. We tell them the fact that they keep changing is all the more reason we want something in writing. They will not send us a statement. I don't want to pay them at all, but we are cleaning up our credit to get a house and need proof of the payment to get it off of her credit.

West Asset
They told me the same thing and were as rude as rude can be..."according to your income, you can pay off the balance with your next pay check" and I was like "what about all my other bills" and the girl on the phone said "too bad, you should have paid this before" and I asked to speak to her manager and she wouldn't put him on the line. I ended up telling her I wanted to only speak to her manager and was refusing to have any other communication with her and if they wanted my money she had best put the manager on the phone. I told him how rude she was and he was like, "oh, too bad". So, I worked out payment arrangements with them, and now they are calling again!! And, I'm paying the student loan!! These people are ruthless. I called the original debt owner and he basically said, "too bad, so sad, West Asset owns it now". I don't mind paying my bills, but the rudeness and uncooperation and attitude with these guys are unbelievable.

West Assest Mgmt
I contacted Tulane Medical who refused a 50% debt reduction in payments. They actually re-routed my call to West Assest, and they asked me a series of stupid questions like:" how much do people in my area currently make?" I was like what does this have to do with my debt? They hung up on me several times, but I just keep on calling back. I just want a settlement letter from them and they can have the $250 that I am willing to pay on several bills, all at least 6 years old. They refused to send a letter, and refuse to settle. I think I am just going to dispute the rest of it, after all its old medical bills, and I dont have the $500 they claim I owe.
