I am sending cease to communicate letters today. On GMA they had a lawyer who stated this would stop the harrassment calls and call communication should be via mailings.

Read the FDCPA. A cease and desist is total, not partial.....there is no option for mail only. You can request it but they are under obligation to comply. Most agencies will close and return the account to the creditor and it will go to another agency....the cycle will start all over again. Or it will go to an attorney.
