This company has been contacting me since around Feb for my Capital One account that had gone into collection. I am just wondering if anyone else every delt with them before and what kind of exp they had with them. So far they only send me any type of letter every 3 months and the last one was only cause I requested one. They call me nearly every week trying to get me to make a payment. Last time they called wanting another payment I informed them I wouldn't be paid again till the end of the month. They called me back Monday saying they are ready for their end of the month payment. I informed them that the 19th is not the end of the month. They called back today but I wasn't in for a payment. The only thing that pretty much was on the letter was the company name , address, and the amount I apparently owe at this time. I have no clue how much of the payments were going to the bill and how much if any was going to any kind of interest.
Sometimes when they call they claim I have to pay it all off at once other times they are willing to take payments. I made a $50 payment the first time then after they I was making $75 payments I have tried to go back to making $50 payments which are easier with my pay.

Is this collection agency hired by your credit company? You can send your payments directly to the creditors without dealing with the CA. Call them and explain your problems with the CA. Offer some money in advance to make your proposal stronger.

Also, request for the latest statement of your account so that you are sure of your payments getting transferred and the balance amount owed.

They are attorney's office that does 3rd party collections. Send them a letter asking them to only contact you in writing.

This lawfirm is suing me on behalf of cach, it is for a providian account. I just filed my answer at the prothonotary office last friday, has anyone ever been sued by this bunch?

Fedup, I dealt with this company and they are one of the worst. They were the ones that told a little boy on the phone that his mom was going to jail. You can read about them on Budd Hibbs Web site. Fortunately I was able to borrow money from the bank and pay these vultures off . Keep me posted on how it goes. KYSIDE38

Geez, I had no idea they are Attorney's.
No doubt in my mind now. They will sue.

I have an attorney looking at everything they sent me so far to see if I have a counter suit, he will be getting back to me sometime this week.

Every debt collector I come across violates the collection laws, including "lawyer" debt collectors. I hope you have counter claims.

I offered them $2000 cash when this first come up, they refused to take it. They want $2800, It is old debt they purchased, so I don't think they paid that much for it. They have been pulling little pranks through out this whole process, offering me payment plans, then stating they don't offer payment plans, it is like the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing half the time. I am still waiting on a letter of activity from the original creditor to determine if this debt is out of SOL or not, they have not returned my request. So I am sending it certified next week.

Fed,
Kindly tell them to validate or bugger off! They should not even be calling you until the debt has been completely validated.

They ain't calling me, they are sueing me on behalf of cach. Just answered the summons last friday. Waiting on a court date. Mailed them a copy and haven't got a response from them either.
