Review your bank statement first. Figure out all the payments that you have done on the loan account. Then, you should find out the laws of your state on payday loans. Some states prohibit payday loans. If you are staying in one of those states, you are liable to pay back only the principal amount. Once you know the principal amount and the charges been paid off, go to your bank and close the account. Or, block Whistler Holding from debiting on your account. Your bank should have their information and they will assist you on this. Later the loan company will contact you asking for more money. Get the loan statement to show that you have paid much more than required. Once done, get the PIF in writing and if possible, claim for a refund if you have paid excessively towards the account.

Did you take out a payday loan on the internet? You can go to your bank and have them to block this company from debiting your account, however this particular company goes by other names: PD6 Ventures/Cash Xpress, and I think DMS Marketing so you would want to list those companies as well. The banks usually charge a fee and the blockis good for 6 months, then has to be renewed. I did this, and they weren't allowed to debit my account, but because I did not know all of the companies dba's my bank felt it would be better if I closed it and opened a new one.

Default Not Alone

I am glad to know I am not crazy that this is really what has been happening to me. I borrowed $300 to help with a move to Germany, as I am working with soldiers for the Army. That was March 2005, I have been trying since Sept 2005 to get it stopped and find out who they were and how to contact them. They have now collected $2640 out of my account. Thank you for giving me more information and ammunition to use against them. I guess I need to make an appointment with JAG. But wouldn't you think a nation wide bank would have protected me better??? Scary stuff!

In the state of WV it is illegal for these payday loan companies to do business. Everyone should check with their own states as well. Contact your State Attorney Generals Office. The state of WV is handling this company for me !!! good luck to all !

I actually found out that Whistler-Holding is handled through loanshopxpresscash.com I too got a 300.00 loan and was scared to death when I read some folks messages. They are a legit company. call 1-800-757-0122 ask for Shirley Reardon in customer service she will explain it all to you.

Barbara, they may be a legit company, however they tend not to abide by the state laws of the borrower. It sounds as though Ms. Reardon may have you fooled. The messages that are posted here are for real. I've been fighting express cash/dms marketing/westbury/whatever their name is today for a few months now. If you did take out a 300$ loan, you need to pay it off according to the legal guidelines in YOUR state, then close the account that you used to get this loan. No matter if you paid them off right away or not, they will continue to debit your account under numerous names.

If you have allowed this deduction from your account to go on for so long that is really just stupid on your part, especially when there are options like closing the account, and stop payment procedures. Please call Shirley Reardon at the above number. I did and feel much better about it.

Barbara - the wool is being pulled over your eyes. There are plenty of folks on here that can tell you the same thing. For ha-ha's, how much was your original loan, how much have you paid back, and what state do you live in?

If you like being taken advantage of, then by all means, let them take all your money and then some.

Barbara, I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you. I'm just trying to help you. Shirley Reardon cannot help me. Shirley Reardon cannot help the person who's had $2600 taken from them for a $300 loan. What I want you to know is that there are laws that these companies constantly break. In my state, there is a 17% interest cap on small loans. If you read the fine print, these companies charge about 790% interest. That is a huge difference in what is allowed by law.

I am here so others aren't victimized like the people here have been.

I wish you a lot of luck with your pay day loans. I'm really glad that you aren't stupid like I was in letting them take all that money from me! :sarcasm:

Barb-I got a loan from them, too. I was told that I would get an email from them before the loan was due to see if I wanted to roll it over or pay it off but haven't gotten anything and it is due tomorrow. Do they automatically rollover? Obviously they keep rolling it over until you wise up and call them. The website that you listed doesn't work. Maybe I'll just call.

I live in Mn. I called John Kimball at 1-800-859-6439 ext. 244 and basically threatened they had better not mess with my account. The Gov. will cathc up to them soon enough. My loan is for 300.00 as well my 1st payment of 90.00 plus 50.00 towards my principal comes out of my account tomorrow. If they screw that up I am closing my account which is no problem for me my sis is my banker and believe me she is on top of this too
