Most Embarrassing Moment

Everyone has had that moment in their lives where you do something or say something that is irreversible and make you want to withdraw to a cave somewhere. I think it would make for interesting and humorous conversation to share those moments of pure humiliation!
Years ago I was working in a state of the art lighting design center. A male architect a female designer and a woman from a local school board came in to discuss pendant fixtures for the school lobby. As always I gave a tour of the facility. There was a beautiful home theater complete with movie seats a 12 foot screen and popcorn surrey that we were quite proud of. It was equipped with surround sound and a CD of a space action film was always inserted to show off the picture and sound. I showed them inside and pressed a control. The lights dimmed the picture and sound came on and there in front of me was a XXX movie in its most vocal XXX part. I quickly shut down the system and apologized. It seems the warehouse manager "worked" late the night before. They were OK with it and were embarrassed for me except for the designer who said, "Please turn it back on. Just kidding."
What was your most embarrassing moment!

Wow! That's pretty bad! ROFLMAO! My worst moment has to be when I was working at a store in the center part of the shopping mall. This was when I was still in college. Young and impressionable. Easily mortified. Anyway...I was walking through the mall to my store around 10am. The crowds were just starting to get there for the shopping day. I walked right through the center of the mall, and thought how chilly it was in the mall that day. When I got to work, I went into the bathroom to freshen my face, and saw that the bottom of my skirt was tucked into my hose. And, there was a lot of skirt tucked into those hose. No wonder it was so chilly, my butt was completely showing! Good thing I didn't have on those granny undies that day.

Yeah..it was pretty embarrassing. All the guys in the food court saw me walk through, so when I went to get lunch that day, they all whistled at me. At least it was when i was actually in pretty good shape. If that happened now, there would be some kind of soundtrack with tribal drums playing every time my butt shakes. "Ba DUM, ba DUM, ba DUM". LOL!

When my wife was a little girl she got up in front of the whole class to recite and her underwear fell down. She still talks about it!

Sounds like my other embarrassing moment. Why do they always have to do with me showing my underwear? in elementary school, we had a dance recital, and I wore a wrap-around skirt. It was the 70's. When I twirled around, the skirt twirled off and flew across the stage. I think I was in 1st grade, but it branded me the rest of my school days. in Raleigh, in my neighborhood, you went to school with the same people all through elementary and high school. Different schools, same school district. Maybe that's why I have a thing about my butt being so out of shape. i always end up showing it one way or another. Laughing

LOL!! One day last year I went to the gas station. I went to the pre pay pump, because it was busy, and the other pumps were full. I was wearing sweats, because I had just come back from softball practice..Well, after coming out of the store from paying, they fell down around my ankles..It was TERRIBLE!!!!

Thank you all for the entertainement. I am laughing so hard. I was trying to think if I had any of those moments but could not come up with one. I have two...my first was...I was moved to a new dept and got a new boss. He e-mailed me a list of items...he was checking up on me. I knew my job at the time better than he and forwarded the e-mail to my old boss with a commentary to the effect that he should shut up, put his feet back up on his desk and let me do my job becuase I am better at it than he is... she went to reply to me and hit reply to all...Yes my e-mail and her response was sent to him...we only knew becuase he e-mailed both of us and told us if we had something to say atleast have the courtesy of saying it to his face....so I marched down to his office, apologized and told him in person that I did not need him to check up on me becuase I was sent to his department to fix things and clean things up...we got along famously after that...when I left he gave me the e-mail framed with a kiss on it.

My other one was the day all my friends - who are very conservative - found out I had a tatoo on my back. We were at a baseball game and they were shocked and the one who saw if first screamed... I was so embarassed becuase, my tattoos are for me, not for the public and I did not want them to see them becuase I knew they could not appreciate them, nor would they understand the reasoning behind them. I was even more embarassed becuase I underestimated them all. They thought it pretty cool that I honored my son, husband and father in that manner.
