February 2nd is the day that we watch to see what a strange beady eyed creature has to say about the future. It is also the day of the Presidents State of the Union address. Am I being redundant?
I wanted to make Groundhog Day special so I headed over to Party City. I could not believe that all they had was Super Bowl stuff. Not one Groundhog Day flag or banner! Nothing! I went to Hallmark and was disappointed there also! Not one Happy Groundhog Day card. I guarantee that my wife will find one that says something like Happy Goundhog Day to My Wonderful Husband and I am going to be in deep for the rest of the day.
Off to the butcher to order my Groundhog.
"Get out or I will call the police." I think thats what he said in Italian but I am not sure. Immigrants!
He probably never heard of beer butt ground hog. It is the same as chicken but you use a 24 ounce bottle instead of a can for obvious reasons. Just don't turn the heat too high or it becomes like the Pepsi Mentos thing launching your hog many feet straight up in the air.
So what are you doing for Groundhog Day?

I am going to a wedding......They picked groundhog's day to get married because no one picks that day

What am I doing for Groundhog day? Praying that we get spring. Also, I am going to hope the poor sleeping rodent bites the hell out of the a$$ in the top hat who yanks him out and holds him in the air. Poor thing.

Very cute Frog! Point of interest: As some of you may know I am preparing to move from Indiana to Illinois in April. My new posistion will be in Harvard, Il. and I have been looking for an apartment. I am fairly sure I will settle in Woodstock, Il.....this is also where Bill Murray and crew filmed "GroundHog Day". There are certain spots all through town that mark were special sceens took place. The theater there runs the movie for free on his special day!! It's a very pretty town!!

What a great place to celebrate Groundhog Day.
It amazes me that people actually take me seriously or they think I am just weird! Do they honestly think that I went out looking for a fresh groundhog to cook?
That is scary! Gives new meaning to chuck roast! Woodchuck that is!

I AM PLANNING TO WATCH THE MOVIE GROUNDHOG DAY.THEN ALONG WITH FINS PRAY FOR SPRING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.SPRING CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH.

I live in Florida. I hope spring is way off because that is when it starts getting hot and it does not quit until November. Spring is when all those college kids invade the area and clog the roads.

I did forget! Thank you for reminding me. This was a big deal to m e when I was a kid. If we were in school our teachers would always turn on the TV so we could watch whatever news cast was covering the story.

My teacher would make us look out the window and give our opinion on whether or not he would see his shadow. She never told us that the groundhog was hundreds of miles away and the weather might have been different there!
