I once filed a complaint with the EEOC. Very long story and long ago - but I had a female boss who wanted to screw around, and didn't like it when I said no. She ended up getting fired for screwing around with other employees, and she tried to take me down with her and get me fired too.

I went to an attorney who told me the first step is to file a complaint with the EEOC. So I went downtown to a federal office and spent about an hour explaining everything to an investigator. And they will want to know every single detail, and will ask you for names of any witnesses who can support your claim.

From there, they enter a complaint and give you a copy; they send the complaint to the company to get the company's version of what happened. (Which the company will most likely deny).

If the EEOC thinks it's a good case, they will prosecute on your behalf. Or else, they will give you a "right to sue" letter, and you can have your own attorney sue them in court.

I handled an EEOC case last month. It was a very ugly situation, I am going to have to go to court for it. My husband, who does the same job as me in a different place, has been in court for a sexual harassment (NOT AGAINST HIM!) case for the past few weeks. The woman who did my job before me sued my company for gender discrimination..And won. Last year, a female laborer attempted to sue for gender discrimination..I told her attorney that she was worthless and provided facts, he convinced her to drop the case! It's very real and very common..I hope I can help you!

This isn't about sexual harassment. Fins, I sent you the PM. If you need more information I can hopefully provide it.
