I am using someone else's laptop for the day, if this was a pc I would know how to fix it but it isn't. The mouse for this laptop has stopped working. Not the finger touch pad but the mouse.. it kinda works.. the clicker buttons work, not the scroll button and when you move it the pointer dissapears.. any ideas on how I can fix this before my mom finds out? Smile hehe

Did you unplug the mouse and plug it back in? That worked for me once...

Shutdown pc,remove mouse, reboot with mouse unplugged, shut down again, plug back in & restart computer. This should resolve any obvious windows errors. Take a good look at the connector if it is not a usb mouse.Lastly if it is usb,try a different port.

If you are using a USB mouse on a laptop which should have a touchpad or track ball mouse try disabling the integrated mouse first, if it gets two different signals for that type of HID it can cause that.
