I am glad I waited.

I had prepared a letter to the school but for some reason I hadn't sent it yet along with the medical bill for my son. Yesterday in the mail I recieved an additional bill for almost 700 dollars for physician services. It brings the grand total to 1,927 dollars for a 30-45 minute trip to the ER.

I am faxing copies of these tomorrow.

OMG FYI!!!

I'm a little out of the loop-did you contact the school at all about the bills or are they not willing to help?

Prices of medical care are out of control. My father-in-law would tell a story where he was younger & went to see a friend in the hospital that just had surgery. He passed out in the hospital (he was never good with hospitals) & ended up the ER. They gave him an asprin & then sent his parents a bill for $40 for the asprin...that was in the 1960's!!!

Its just getting worse. I hope the school pays everything!

I am going to fax over everything tomorrow. I hope they take care of everything too. I would hate to have to get an attorney to sue the school.

Shouldn't the issue here be if your child is ok, and not what it cost. Where is your medical insurance

Her child was taken care of. The issue FYI is dealing with is reimbursement of her costs. So thank you for the concern, but FYI was not holding her child back from any treatment.

And in regard to your question of medical insurance (I think it was a question, even without the punctuation mark), about 18% of America would like to know that very answer. But let's keep vetoing bills that would help everyday Joe, since they do nothing to line the pockets of your political connections.

Well also just cuz u have medical insurance it doesn't pay for ALL cost involved with an accident, an accident caused by neglect btw.... So i think the school IS indeed responsible for these medical bills!!
And if it were me, i'd also be wanting reimbursment! (as i'm sure u would too guest)

I sent the fax today. No response yet but I figure it will take a day or so for at least a verbal response. I just hope that it doesn't take forever. I've sent a letter to the hospital and to the doctor explaining the issue. If I don't hear something soon I will send a small payment so that the account doesn't go into collections.
