I had a judgement about 8 years ago in VA that is listed on the VA court website as "inactive." Just as little as last year it was listed as "active."
Can they activate it? How long do they have to do it?

Virginia Judgments are allowed for 10 years and renewable (extended) to 20 years.
Foreign judgments are valid for 10 years.
The answer to your question is "Yes". Creditor can make the judgment active within the legal timeframe.

Gretchin what if they do not renew it by the 10 year mark? Can someone else buy it after then and come after it?
