i owe 5000 and federal bond collection called and want at least 500 a month which i cannot afford to pay they would not accept 200 a month over the phone what choeld i do i live in arkansas

I read in the other thread that this collection agency is no longer in business. They are not listed with the BBB. All collection agencies must be licensed in the state before doing business. Check with your AG's office if the company has a valid license in your state. Go through this link.

Before you do a payment, get the debt validated by them and also check your latest credit copy if they have hit anything there. There should be a legitimate reason if they report anything in your credit file. If they can, there shouldn't be any problems validating the debt, they claim to have. Stay alert while dealing with them.
