I'm registered with Prosper.com. How do I successfully get a loan from them? I tried once before to get a small ($1500) loan for car repair and never got an answer.

Wilda: We are not a loan site, we are a community working to become debt free, and we encourage to avoid loans when ever possible. If you qualify, some cities actually have free or low cost car repairs. Check with your town or cities website for information to see if they offer a program like this.

What about going to your bank and try to get a loan through them. They might have competetive rates and you would know where they are located.
Have you done any research on the posper.com company?
I would definitely check into them to make sure they are legitimate before giving them all my information.

Prosper does seem to be a legit place. I think they have forums where you can interact with the various funders; you can get advice on how to write a request. Some posters can be brutally honest, though.
