I am looking for a loan but my credit is far from good, I believe my score is somewhere around 540. I am looking for @2k. Is there any company who can do that. I tried Prosper.com, but I keep getting the message that my score is too low.

Whatever you do, stay away from payday loans!!!!! They are bad news and will only make things worse.

I agree with you 100% 2nband..they are only a band aid and not a long-term solution...and causes more heartache and stress than what they are worth.

I want to add on here, be wary of those that come on here and say they can tell you where to go to get a loan. Read through things because most of these are bots and you need to stay away from what they are saying and offering. I peeked on here earlier and there was an Alison, I believe, that had several posts and they all said EXACTLY the very same thing. STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY!!!

I know this won't help you right now, but have you started working on fixing your credit for the future? I was in the same boat as you last year, but I took the bull by the horns and really started hammering away at my reports, disputing what I could, sending debt validation/verification letters to everyone, paying what I could, and now I have fixed everything that I could.
Yes it will still take time for things to fall off and it didn't help me immediately, but I have learned so much about finances and credit in general, I keep saying that I am so thankful (in a twisted way) for the problems that I caused myself, because I am now much more frugal and down to earth than I used to be when I was ignorant.
