my husband has a 493 credit score, and me a 443, because earlier in the year i got a month behind on the mortgage for like 6 months straight. im wanting to get a debt consolidation loan to pay everything off and put it all in one note. my grandmother will co-sign and she has excellent credit but she is 84. do yall think there is a bank that will do that with her being her age? thanks for any help!!

It's going to depend on her income I would assume.

I can tell you that banks/lenders cannot discriminate based on age...there is no age limit.

What are you wanting to consolidate and put into one payment? I see you have a mortgage...are you trying to take out a debt consolidation loan against the house?

Instead of taking a debt consolidation loan, have you considered a debt consolidation service?

I would just becareful that with the debt consolidation loan you make sure you are on top of your payments or else you'll be back to where you are now.
