As you are 2 months behind on your payments, the lender has started foreclosure actions against you. You can contact a lawyer to deal with your lender. However, you can do this on your own as well. If you want to save your property from foreclosure, then you can contact your lender and apply for loan modification.

Call them asap. Talk to the loss mitigation department and work on getting that loan modified. If your hardship was only temporary, have them tack the late payments onto the end of the loan.

I also have a bank of america loan mortgage that I fell behind on. The key is to keep in touch with them to let them know what is going on. I had a reduction in income/hours and was able to get a loan modification in which I paid one half of my normal mortgage payment for three months to help me get caught up. There are different options. Ask them for help and see what they can offer. Foreclosure wasn't started on me after being 2 months behind but came very close. Good luck!
