I recently applied for a personal loan online through a few different sites. I recieved a phone call from Kieth Browning of Brookfield Landing notifying me that I was approved for a twenty thousand dollar loan. I was told that because of my bad credit it was a personal investor that would be supplying the loan.
And I would have to send him 1200 dollars first, then I would recieve my loan 24 hours after that. But when I tried to research the company online I found
nothing! And when I called him back to ask him to send me all the loan info via the mail or internet he said he could only fax it to me. I am also very confussed on how he even got my info?
If anyone has heard of this company please let me know!! I am pretty sure it is a scam, and if so I would like to know who I would report it to, if anyone. I also have the phone number still.

DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYCOMPANY THAT ASKS FOR UP FRONT CASH!! This sounds like a scam and you will nver see your $1200 or any money from them. You can report them to the attorney general in the state that you live in and also the FBI.

I dont know what state it is in? I am in California and when I tried looking it up in the yellow pages and google and entering the phone number it comes up unknown.

I am talking about reporting to the ag in your state. I would bet that this company is illegal in CA.

dont do it i did and i got screwed i never got loan they asked for more money and when i said no my refund would be issued on june 29 i sent them the money on june 3 and its now july 5 and no refund yet and i also can not get any one to return my call or anything i have now lost my house and business due to this

Hi,
I was contacted also, I did send the money, it is a scam, do not send them money, I have the authories looking into this scam, as others. If you have a recently contacted by them, could you provide me their current (supposedly) address and phone number so that I can pass this on to the authorities working on my case at email address removed as per forum rules - Mike. If you look up Brookfield lending in Google.com, you will see that others was scammed.
