I lost my job and haven't been able to pay my bills and now I'm so far behind that I can't catch up on my own. My credit score is so bad that I cant get a loan and they're talking about taking my car and home. What can I do.

Please don't panic. Tell us a little more about your situation. What kind of debts do you have? Have you tried to set up a plan with the original company? They might sound tough in the beginning but later they will accept your proposals. Draft a payment plan and send it to the company's mailing address. It will be better if you can send the first check as mentioned in the payment plan. If they cash your check, it means that they are willing to work with you.
