I had a country wide home loan and I was 9 months past due and was put on a repayment plan for 9 months I just completed the plan on 7/30/09. 5 days later I received a phone call stating that I still owed $85.08 for "inspections" On 8/17/09 I received a letter in the mail thanking me for completing my repayment plan that was agreed upon and that my account was now current. I got my statement which was also dated 8/17/09 that said I owed the $85.08. To me current means current and I should not have to pay any more money since I completed the repayment plan as set out. Would I owe this money the repayment plan schedule did not say fees to change or anything like that. I talked to 4 different people yesterday and not a single person would or could help me. I told them I didn't feel I owed this $85.08 because it should have been included in my repayment plan and that is not my fault. I just finished paying them $6363.00 over the past 9 months and I think they are bogus anyways because another lady I work with is having the same problems other than she has written them 22 certified letters in 2 years and has not received a response at all. Also when I first went on this repayment plan I was going to pay $1378.61 up front well when I made my payment over the phone for the $1378.61 with confirmation and everything. Then I checked my bank account and they took out $3170.46 which was not the authorized amount. The money bounced out of my account because I didn't have that much in there and that wasn't how much I wrote the check for to begin with. I did receive the overdraft fees back and the $20 over the phone fee I had to pay to make the payment to begin with. Do I have grounds for any sort of legal action for them doing this to me?

Inspection charges for what? One doesn't incur inspection charges for repayment plan. Inspection fees can only be charged when the property gets appraised, i.e. at the time of buying the property or during refinance.

You may consult a lawyer about it. However, I'd have asked the lender to explain the charges before visiting atty's office.

they said the inspection charges were for them sending someone out to see if I still lived in my home??? I foind it very confusing because on my repayment plan it didn't say fees subject to change or anything like that.

Also my question about seeking legal action is about them taking an unauthorized amount out of my bank accout.

Does anyone know if I would have any sort of legal grounds against BOA for taking an unauthrized amount of money out of my accound?
