Does anyone have info on how to obtain private lender loans? I am not looking into Prosper - already have a small loan with them. I am not a student. Looking for about $2000, poor credit history.

You have to search for the private loan lenders in your area. You can find them in the yellow pages.
Have you tried with the local banks with whom you have been doing the banking? You should give a try with them if your relation is good.
