WAMU Busted!!!

Here is a quote from Tycoon Report regarding the WAMU incident and a link to the story for all interested.

Quote:
"Washington Mutual (WM) joins the growing ranks of financial companies caught up in the web of subprime lies.

It seems that its appraisal company, First American Corp (FAF), is being sued by the NY Attorney General for inflating home values. The NY AG also alleges that First American Corp colluded with Washington Mutual to use a list of preferred “proven appraisers” that would provide inflated appraisals on homes."

Shame on WAMU!

I think we'll be hearing a lot more compaines in the near future are guilty of some sort of dishonesty with loans.

Nice, now if someone besides myself, would go after Wells Fargo Auto Finance who are, in my opinion, the worst company on the planet who lie, cheat, steal in order to protect the very same. LETS GET EM Exclamation Twisted Evil

Only bad part about this is they can try to claim ignorance and the appraisal company will be on the hook for everything.I hope the NY AG buries their subprime A@@!

This is a growing problem in this coutry..even in my neighborhood! I know personally those who have had their home's value over-inflated with a new morgage and will never be able to sell. Once you do that it is very difficult to get out of the loan. Alot of banks need investigating!

I would love to see them do a real investigation here in Arizona. People would be amazed of the type of things that are done here.

One of the muppit heads of Dept. of Finance here basically said "it's a real shame this has happened to some of the people of Arizona. Our hearts go out to them." I thought, thats all she has to say? All window dressing....

The AG of NY has really kicked some butt in regards to companies frauding people out of their money. I just wish others would follow suit.

I'm glad I got my mortgage when I did (summer '05), as I don't know that I would still qualify, or at least at the good rate I got

I do not like WAMU. That is who my home loan is through and they are some of the rudest people. They are the ones that told my husband one thing (when I went in for my surgery) and then did something totally different! Wish I could get away from then!
