Shirley is very helpful and friendly as well. She always tries to help others with her knowledge. She posts her debt and credit related problems in forum and this way she helps others who are in the similar situation.

I have seen few informative threads posted by Shirley in this forum, here are few of those-

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...d-idtheft.html

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...jury-scam.html

Hence she is a deserving candidate for DebtCC Hall of Fame. Count my vote Shirley

Oh you guys are so kind with your sweet words. I enjoy helping out here but the truth is that you all have helped me too! I have found that in helping you, I help myself. To explain. I am as southern as they come, right down the the accent! believe it or not, even the memphians give me a hard time about my accent..LOL thats how southern it is. My mother was a God fearing christian woman and took us two girls to church every time the doors were open. LOL if there was a two week revival going on, we were there, we were there every sunday morning, sunday night and wednesday night. If there was anything else going on, we were there. we even cleaned the church. LOL My daddy didn't go to church, he worked 24-7 just to make ends meet. My mother made our clothes and we used to sit in the back of the church because all of the 'families' (that had their dads) sat in the front. almost like we were misfits. My mother wore the same dress over and over again. she made sure us girls had before her. Thats the kind of woman that she was. I felt the other women looked down on her because of the way she dressed, the clothes she wore and because her husband was never there. Yet she continued to go and go and go. That never stopped her from doing what she thought was right. When my mother got sick with cancer, only a couple came to see her. When she was on her death bed in the hospital, no one came to see her---and at her funeral, I could count on one hand, how many of her so called friends showed up. My mother was strong and determined and did what she thought was right. she kept on keeping on.
(sorry guys, i got off on my mom a little bit-heres the route to the story)

One sermon I remember the preacher preaching (I was usually off in another land during the sermon and would get pulled back in when I thought he was fixing to close LOL!--) was called "LOSE YOURSELF". He would say that when you get down and out and think you have problems--LOSE YOURSELF in helping others. And I have found that to be true.
THis is why I say that helping you guys is helping me. And plus some of the questions and problems come up that I go and read and research, teach me things that I am also learning for the first time.

I'm sorry, I hope I wasn't out of line talking about church. I try to stay away from religion and politics in the forum here, but I used this to tell my story. thank you all again for your kindness and support! shirley

Thanks so much for your story,Shirley. I can relate alot, almost same thing happened when by dad died of cancer at age 50. I vote a big YES for Shirley. Shirley was the first person to respond to my question when I first found this site and offered so much hope and understanding as well as info to use. This is not discounting all you others that have responded and helped, too!!! Way to go Shirley. Life is about sharing our experience, strength and hope with each other so that we all may learn and grow.
